If they announce infinite pointless ap grind paragon system I'm done

I swear I’m so hyped for vessel of hatred but if season 6 adds an infinite paragon I’m refunding and just going to play wow.

If they announce an infinite paragon system I’m refunding my expansion and never playing diablo 4 again.

Being able to finish a character is nice, that infinite grind stuff is the exact reason I quit wow and didn’t come back till AP was removed

QUESTION

Wowhead: You mentioned during the Diablo 4 panel that you could talk about the Paragon system rework coming with Season 6 “for hours.” Without spoiling the fun, can you name one particular part of the old system that will definitely change in the new version?

:a:NSWER

Aislyn: The core idea behind our redesign of the Paragon system was to ensure we could add depth to player choice without overloading it with complexity because it’s already very heavy on player choice. Right now, in the meta, we’re finding that people are looking specifically for glyphs, as this is the most valuable thing you can effectively do to increase strength. We want to make sure Legendary Nodes and other parts of the Paragon Boards are getting the attention they deserve. So, all of the changes we’re making are focused around that idea. All of our decision-making here is meant to give players more choice without any additional complexity.

QUESTION

jessirocks: Are there any plans to make an infinite Paragon system as you did in Diablo 3?

:a:NSWER

Brent: Currently, there are no plans to do that. Right now, our focus is on creating achievable goals for the player.

Aislyn: Another thing about the Paragon system, which has sparked debate both within the community as well as among our team, is whether an infinite paragon progression system adds to the fun or if it starts to feel like a chore. We’ve had a lot of discussions about the concept of a “soft cap” versus a “hard cap,” and it’s something that’s factoring into our redesign as a whole.

Nothing to worry about here folks, move along, move along.

They might make glyphs endless. It’s the same crime in my eyes… these systems don’t respect people time and i hate when games make you unable to finish a character

WoW has paid level boosts. How is this a better option?

They very well could you aren’t wrong, they could also eventually give us infinite paragon points, they could take away paragon points, they could give us the ability to max out every skill in our skill tree. We just don’t know. I wouldn’t worry about it until we have more information on the 29th though of exactly what the changes are going to be.

For now though, it’s obvious you don’t have to worry about infinite paragon points. I’d also put money down that they consider glyphs to be within the same realm as paragon points and wouldn’t be giving us an infinite glyph leveling system either. If I’m wrong, I’ll gladly congratulate you on being right and wish you a fond farewell as I imagine you will be leaving the game.

They said in an interview that they want people to prioritize legendary nodes more than glyphs. I doubt that buffing glyphs is a good way to solve this problem.
And it would be also very odd for an infinite paragon to be added considering even D3 went away from it after many years from what I remember.

I think what they are going to announce is just a rebalance of what it is we define as progression. 60 levels of leveling with X levels of grinding paragon but with a cap. I think they want to bring the majority of players to the perceived end game levels. I think they realized a HUGE amount of their customers are quitting before they reach 100.

In the end I don’t think its going to change much for people that hit the real end game each season.

I don’t think an infinite paragon model would work with the seasonal system they are using. Imagine gathering a staggering amount of paragon points during a season, only to see the character shunted to the eternal realm.

Are you likely to do seasonal in the future or would you rather stick with your super OP baby and keep grinding?

They already said no, multiple times.

They also said that all content will be available for solo players. Multiple times. And where are we now with that story?

I dunno, I don’t recall any interviews or livestreams where they said that.

Here is some info from Wowhead:

Wowhead: In Diablo 3, I remember the community often suggested that the power element be capped and the higher part of the Paragon system be tied to cosmetics or something like that.

Brent: Absolutely, people like to be rewarded for the time they put into a system.

I’m hoping they really give the legendary nodes some real power. One of my builds has 7 boards but only 1 legendary node worth taking because the real power comes from glyphs. This is what is really lacking with the paragon system and why it is uninteresting.

I would also love to see rare and magic nodes really mean something. Because glyphs are the ultimate source of power the new way to build a paragon board takes as few rare and magic nodes as possible to stretch for those extra glyph multipliers.

That says something about your design when the idea is to path from point a to point b as quickly as possible to slot in your power rather than it be from the board itself.

Good luck on your next adventure. We will all remember your legend fondly.

They want to make money. Not make 20 solo players happy.

You just love making things up don’t you? When facts prove you wrong you just make up something else.

Why don’t you just follow thru on that threat and stay in WOW since that is really what you’re looking for instead of trying to turn Diablo into something it isn’t?

I didn’t say they don’t want to make money. I am saying, you shouldn’t believe them, because they say one thing and do another.

Alot are already thinking of quitting due to the group play exclusives. They said no ot infinite paragon but there copy pasting D3 more n more. Which isn’t bad but isn’t great either

I would not mind a few more paragon points via scrolls we could find. Yes i think we should have to find something like a scroll for them. I like finding useful things. lol.
