Gameplay enhancements:

  1. Nightmare dungeons - modifiers - poison explosion alike for standing in one place in 2 seconds it spawns an explosion under the player(move! move! move!) along with other thematic annoyers. When this modifier appears it makes nmd 5 times larger its size. Same/similar concept to another “bioms” (hellish, swampish, desertish etc), More obducites drop, more chests.

separate consumables(party leader!) for nightmare dungeons could be consumed for big blast but each increasing difficulty (let;s say “10 monster lvl” per 1 consumed)

  • fight 2 bosses at the end of dungeon at the same time (T1,2,3,4)
  • double the size/area/chests for nmd(T1,2,3,4)
  • 15% better drop(quality) but 2 additional “annoyers” (annoyers can stack by enhancing rates, rng) T3,4
  • 15% more experience but 15% less drop rate(quantity) T3,4
  • Unkillable butcher follower/annoyer “good luck with that…” - 10% drop quality and quantity, 10% more experience, yes it can happen to be 3 of them if rng roll that…(T4 consumable if all 4 previous are consumed, all works) = content creators, pve/pvm, ladder-boards friendly,
  1. Infernal Hordes - starts from torment 3 “far have you wandered”
  2. Pits - each and any build should be able to get to 100
    110 pit should require at least second strong player to share contribution
    150 - at this point and maybe beyond (151,52,70) should be like, force players to crazy team planning by (ok you gonna be full CC, you DMG healthy/group/single/to cced, you tank, and you DMG injured/group/single/to cced) - balancing towards this idea may help as well with establish tvt/pvp/co-op in game and introduce gauntlet to pits.
  3. Helltide - (the more chaos the better) interesting would be combining current walker season with season 3 vaults:
    Walker, after defeat can spawn one of 3 types of portals(for now).
  • most common(default vault) - a dung with many many many portals (scooby-doo scene) together creating a kind of labyrinth, where except many traps you are chased by negative troll/goblin which also can move through the portals after players, you can not hit him but he can hit you and stole gold from you by each hit he land. rewards 50mil gold + opals (base game to torment 1)
  • rare portal (30% chance) - can spawn a portal to zoltan kul with his own loot table (maybe this time with items for other clases too?) (torment 1,2)
  • Super rare (5% chance to spawn) - teleporting you to a season 3 hub where you can meet vendors offering for 1B gold 3 GA random legendary items (torment 3,4)
  1. Campaign - unique campaign content for pre-torment and each torments(D2 acts philosophy as progression difficulty), Example: Base game to torment 1 (defeat lilith/andariel/grigore/beast in ice/zir(…)) VOH - torment 2 (defeat, duriel, we haven;t got any story introduction of his return btw, maybe he should escape from the den and than we start getting his story retrospectively) exp3 - defeat someone T3, exp4 - defeat diablo T4, exp5 - defeat at T4. Avoiding trivialize the story!
    basically the concept of all story telling campaign should be Focus on lower tiers of game, than to spice up and execution the campaign elevate mission on higher tiers, result? - oh boy oh boy i must to get new expansion, i;m dying to experience the new campaign on higher tiers ( yes, base game campaign expanding also make it even stronger, tool for non-linear story building)
  2. Other - overall concept for unique content for each torments 1.2.3.4
    1- easy, fun, blast
    2 - fun, blast, long
    3 - long, hard
    4 - puzzle, hard, demanding, co-op

Items:

  • Parts of Ballista, crossbow trap - create ballista turrets(very long range,off-screen). You cannot use distant combat skills(arrows) but instead build stationary crossbow towers which should be destroyed to expire or moved out of their range, 2 stacks for each distant combat skill on your action bar, powerful but slow attack speed)

  • Unique Focus - Elemental golem of might and magic - depends on what element spell he step into he become of that element and getting it’s bonuses/mechanics ( in ideal world new models)

  • Hephaestus Blaze boots (mythic) - sorc/palladin only

  • combine incinerate with firewall amulet - paint a firewall at the end/tip of incinerate if you have both skills in enchantments slots, firewall lasts 4 seconds longer)
