If I'm playing on PC, can my partner play the game on my Xbox using their account?

I have the game for both Xbox and PC, and I have a question.

If I’m playing on PC, can my partner play the game on my Xbox using their own account?

Person A owns the game on both Xbox and PC.

Person B has an account on Person A’s Xbox and wants to enter the game using their Battle.net account.

Person A wants to play on PC.

I don’t see why it shouldn’t work as long as they don’t share the same BNet account.

Thanks for your reply :sparkles:

I dont think so for early access. The early access perk is tied to our accounts apparently. Its the same problem with people trying to play on two consoles at once. Only your username has the early access license.

You will get a license error. As people said yet, Blizzard tied Early Access to Bnet account license (very bad move from their side). So your friend need to wait for release.

Would this work if I detach my Xbox account from Battlenet and instead connect my partner’s? I haven’t redeemed the Xbox code yet.

Just redeem the code on her xbox account. Link your xbox account to your battle.net acount.

If you link her Bnet to your Xbox/PS5 account where you bought the game, it must work. But google first about reattaching Bnet accounts, there are cooldown 365 days If you wanna change it back.

I see! If I unlink my Battlenet account from my Xbox, before connecting another one, I will have to wait a year before I can reconnect… :exploding_head: No wait, just my battlenet account is affected, not the Xbox

Are you sure you want to disconnect your Xbox LIVE account?
Warning, there will be a 365 day cooldown before you can connect a new Xbox LIVE account.
