i dunno why but EVERYONE at the time compared d4 to baldurs gate (didnt make any sense to me) but afaik this game doesnt have a loot filter

I think he means POE or LE because he referes to loot filter (or does BG have loot filter?).
And BG is not a franchaise competitor, becasue they’re 2 complete different game genres gameplay vise…One is a “action RPG” the other is a “turn based RPG”.
People who like one gameplay style don’t automaticaly like the other only because both are RPGs…I f.e. can’t stand turn based RPGs and refunded the latest BG after less than 1 hour but have surely more than 30k hours in all the different ARPGs (mostly D2 back in the days 
).
It’s like comparing Age of Empires with Diablo, becasue both have a similar camera angle. 
Because D4 doesn’t need loot filter. And PoE needs. PoE crashes when shows all loot on some maps.
What do you want to filter here? 5 items?

They have so much affix bloat that they could not find a way to make a loot filter that would not make your PC crash

somehow everyone compare baldur and d4 as if they where euqal when baldur was new
so i think its fair to continue that bs if its in favor of d4 now
A loot filter is not needed.
Just because you and others are too lazy to pay attention, does not mean they should change the game.

Unless they finish the beta testing and implement the needed changes in the main game, I am not going to buy any expansion as well. I said it several times already - stash space is desperately needed! Loot filters would be nice, but if they provide them in the expansion I’m okay with that. Stash space in the expansion is totally unacceptable! Unless they provide significantly more stash space in the main game, I am not buying any expansions.

Can I still play with everyone if I don’t buy the expansion? How will this thing work? 
You can play in the original zones with other people. You just won’t be able to visit the new zones which is probably where the majority of people will be. Any base changes they make for the game will also be available, such as balance changes, seasons, possibly some new items, etc.

Aah that makes sense :o
You need it for late game, instead of looking at every item, you could just save tremendous amount of time while looking for specific set of affixes. Even Raxx talked about it
It is most definitely NOT needed. Stop being lazy and either look at every piece like i do or don’t pick up items.
But changing the game to help people be lazy is not something that should be done….just because you don’t want to look at stuff.

Yes it does. Just because you and others don’t value your time, doesn’t mean others shouldn’t either.
It’s a game, not work or a chore.
If you want to look at items, don’t use the loot filter and ignore it. There is no loss for you.

The existence of a loot filter will have no bearing on whether or not I buy an expansion.
If i am playing video games, i am not worried about valuing time. The entire point of gaming is to waste time with the goal of entertainment.

I think it is a fair assessment to say that a lot of players do not consider inventory management as a form of entertainment but as a chore.
If you don’t want to use the feature, don’t use it, but let others have it. More options are always good to have.
you clearly did not play BG3 if you think you can even think of comparing loot between the 2 games.
I’m at late game and I don’t need it.
