As my title suggests, I would be thankful for just an acknowledgment that many people are disconnecting when they teleport. Lots of threads about it, it’s been going on for a long time, etc.
Just come out and say, “Yes, we are aware of the issue and we are working to resolve it.” That would be a great first step!
(Then, you could actually fix it, but one step at a time.)
There are a few things to try that might help the problem though if you haven’t:
Make sure the game is not installed on a mechanical HDD. (yes this is a thing, the game needs an SSD and a HDD will cause the teleport to drop you)
Disable Direct Storage →
Make sure you are using a good connection to your internet. Cabled if possible, not WiFi.
As a second to that, if you have a network card Intel i225-V, you may need to disable Auto-Negotiation and set the card to 1.0Gbps Full Duplex (Or whatever your router/modem/switch supports)
Try using nVidia driver 561.09.
Disable Crossplay.
Disable Peripheral Lighting (Chroma Effects)
See if any of that helps. You can also provide a copy of your Fenris Debug file from the game install folder and I can review it for any other suggestions. Open the file, highlight and copy the text, then use pastebin.com to share the contents here.
Many thanks. I appreciate your dogged optimism that these problems can be solved on our end!
I have tried all of those in the past and have done so again. No joy. I can post my fenris thing, but am not especially motivated given what I’ve seen from others. I may do so, but anyway thanks for being much more helpful than the people who make the game!
