I wonder how many who are saying that they will not purchase the VoH because of one co-op feature

Will actually be playing the VoH at launch or soon after? I remember when people were raging on the D3 forum about Diablo Immortal and now I see some of the same people on the Immortal forum who are playing Immortal and enjoying it. It will be interesting to revisit some of the rage posts on this forum to see who was telling the truth. I am looking forward to the VoH but I do not have any interest in running a co-op for 1 - 3 hours with 1 - 3 people that I do not know. I really want the new lore, new area, new class, mercenary system, and runes

i didnt buy it since our mount is slow and gets stuck on each invisa pebble after using a gallop.

i also didnt buy it since they didnt add a bard or a holy knight style person, heck id even settle for a death/blood knight

i also didnt buy it since im not interested in some jungle themed jumping around in a lion cloth one shotting everything

i don’t like playing in groups and i am forced to do rotas to maximize gains

hopefully new coop dungeon can be skipped and not important so i don’t have to go there

The forced co-op thing is a dealbreaker as I see it.
But at the same time, the expansion got so many other issues, that it isnt like Blizzard coming out and fixing it tomorrow would change much imo. Would take a lot more effort.

Still, it should be changed. Just make it soloable.

The one thing I am still interested in is seeing where the story goes (good or bad).
Youtube to the rescue?

I’m interested in many things in VoH but the reason I’m not buying it is tempering. Indeed, I don’t see myself playing S6 at all due to the dread I feel whenever I step up to the smith to temper an item. I’m not asking for an “item editor” or guaranteed affixes, but the current system only disincentivizes play for me. How tempering should be changed has been debated ad nauseum in other threads and is not the topic of this one. Bottom line: a game should not instill dread and tempering in this one does (for me), so I’m not buying the expansion and I don’t see myself playing anymore until substantive, positive changes are done to tempering.

I didn’t buy it for this reason. Maybe one day in S7 or S8 I’ll come back and play it if I can get it on a 50% off sale cause I’d like to do more campaign.

I will not be buying it. $40 is better spent elsewhere, especially since that price includes content I would never play.

It’s OK for players to say today they won’t buy VoH but still do in a few weeks. Every one can change his mind. I complained several times about some of the game features (tempering for example) but after experiencing with them for a while I realized they were not so bad.
I don’t pre-order games but was ready to buy VoH as soon as released. I am not so sure anymore since I learned about the group only content. It is not a definite no buy yet. I still want to evaluate how important this group exclusive content is. For me, the purchase will be at a minimum delayed.

There’s a vast difference between those claiming relentlessly that they are not buying VoH and crapping on the game constantly… then supporting the game they claim to loathe by purchasing VoH.

Agree that those who keep writing that the game is crap should just stop playing and obviously have no reason to buy VoH.
Those who like the game but are unhappy with some of the changes might still buy the Xpac even though they are now pretending the opposite. I think that’s fine, nothing unusual about that.

There are plenty of things I like about the game. Most of my issues with it are principle of the matter/industry related.

That said I don’t see the value in VoH. I have no interest in grouping, have always played Diablo games and other ARPGs because I can do so on my time as I see fit. Relax a bit after work.

I haven’t kept up a ton with the xpac but I know more about Citadel than I do anything else. That tells me all I need to know.

Not me. I’m not buying (nor playing S6) because after a few seasons, there’s just not much new to do…my hats off to people that played every season…I can’t even imagine.

Not to mention, $40…really…nope. “But RoR for D3 was $40”…yea…so what. What does that prove? Proves Blizz learned NOTHING from D3. D4 was unfinished, is STILL unfinished now. I’ll pay for VoH what I did for RoR… about $10 on sale, that’s it. I’m sure that will be years from now…and I’m fine with that…maybe it will look and feel like a different (i.e. better) game then.

Personally, I think it’s a bit ridiculous to get that bent out of shape over 1 aspect of the game. I don’t know if I’ll do it or not (co-op), but it certainly won’t influence my decision to purchase or not. If it’s done right it sounds like it could be fun.

I’m waiting for one of two things to happen… the game settles down on the massive redesign every season or a 75% sale for the holidays comes along. My guess is the latter is more likely than the former.

uuhhhm anyone tell you this game going down the road of D3, like next they’ll put a 35% xp buff in for all group up people!

Which begs the question why are you here?

Honest question btw I’m genuinely interested

After playing the PTR I don’t like none of the changes. The loot drops less in a game that’s about loot, the tempering, the world tier changes, you’re force to do the boring pit to progress and the co-op BS when I rather play solo (unless they have an in-game feature for finding players). I’ll wait and see if cdkeys have it for the low or wait to see the reviews.

40 dollars for an expansion is nothing really - I think I payed 39.95 for both D2 expansions … I have not and currently not sure IF I will even buy VOH, I probably will just to see the campaign story and then quit because nothing exists to do after the story ends that interests me really. I like the story enough that I’ll probably cave and buy it just hoping they fix this steaming turd they have made for us … Edit I can care less about the CO OP part of the expansion really so meh !! If they add a group finder I might change my mind …
