I Wish There Was A Way To Track Completed Side Quests

EDIT2: Still doesn’t list all of the done Side Quests in Collections > Challenges > Quests > Side Quests, geez …

EDIT: I found out how but you’d have to jump through so many hoops to get there. Access all completed Side Quests by going into Collections > Challenges > Quests > Side Quests …

As a person who likes to 100% stuff, completing even the first region (aside from Side Dungeons) would be my first goal, but it’s impossible to do when there’s no way of showing me the list of all Side Quests I’ve already completed.

My Side Quest for Fractured Peak is sitting at 32/35, and I don’t know what triggers the last 3 quests or if it needs triggering at all.

I don’t see any blue exclamation mark on the map either.

This is pretty frustrating …

I’m currently at 35/35 in Fractured Peaks, 46/47 in Scosglen, 38/38 in Dry Steppes and 43/44 in Kehjistan. Haven’t done Hawezar yet.

This is what helped to find the missing quests:

Edit: most of the quests that I was missing were just random drops in certains areas or from certain mobs and/or herb/ore nodes.

Nice link, thanks.

Also it sucks you have to find random 3rd party sites and try out random things to find out what you miss because blizz cannot make proper journal.

this needs fixed asap! sooo frustrating trying to find out whats missing and no lead to missing side quests or even a clue to where to go to find/obtain the quests. random drop side quests attached to renown is a horrible idea! theyre fine if not attached to renown but you gotta be kidding me with this nonsense. im a casual with a family. i dont have time to go to alternate sites and try to decipher the code of trying to figure out what ive finished, what im missing, and where to go to hopefully find the side quests im missing in the world to complete renown. so unnecessary!

if there is a better way that i may be missing to help with side quests in game please lmk and thx for the link posted. dont wanna have to do that but its still appreciated .

Everything is done except 34/35 in FP. Hours and hours searching. I feel like it bugged out on me at this point. Absolutely crazy we don’t have a completed quest log yet. This is far more important than any nerfs you feel are necessary.

As someone who just completed 35/35 side quests in Fractured peaks yesterday, it looks like they only pop up after completing the campaign.

I was farming the areas where people had said the items drop for the side quests but nothing for over a week then I complete the campaign last week and only came back to the farming area and they dropped quickly.

What I was missing was the geode, herb drop and the armorer who sold me a item to turn in.

Now we know to write it down as we progress, Next time.
For now I looked up lists and found a good one with maps. Just finished all side quests.
Some you probably would not figure out on your own as they are not intuitive.
The last one I did had four parts that does not indicate that there are more steps when any one is done.

Looks like this discussion is kind of old and tracking is still a problem and very intense.
I am looking at 3rd Party sites that still say Fractured Peaks has 35 side quests.
But, to make matters worse side quests are being added over time!
The D4 Map Fractured PEAKS says 38 and I have 37 with the Campaign Completed.
Collections > Challenges > Quests > Side Quests does not have an uncompleted side quest name in the list!

I have been checking back for about and hour now!

Thanks for the help being provided.

Nyurei, thanks! I am trying to use a lot of online searches to fill in the blanks.
I have used that site at your link showing 51 side quests completed when I was looking for quests out in the middle of nowhere, because the blue exclamation mark doesn’t paint until you are in the area!

I am was also testing what I thought of marking quests complete in the next season.
I’m down to less than a few in each region.
The problem I am working with is random drops and quest in large open areas…

I am finding the Maxroll site side quest marker may mark the completion location and not the Triggering location (Example: “Remnant” Icon marked the location for completing the quest and not the dungeon where the note was that triggers the quest!)
This site is helpful, but if the icon is not there in game for the Maxroll location, you need to do some more research before you mark the Maxroll Icon completed!

Looks like the Maxroll design is to mark a quest completed as soon as you are done…
With Maxroll I was able to figure out Remnant was the missing side quest because some of the icons in that area were in the wrong place and when I went to the Remnant icon location it just didn’t seem right! I remembered I accessed the cellar before, but all the rubble was in the way. I researched Remnant at a site game 8 co and that set me straight on the order of things.

Fractured Peaks is now 38/38! But, Maxroll’s process didn’t seem intuitive if you don’t use it as you advance through the game. Hard to use help after the fact is better than no help! So, no complaints there4! Thanks again, Nyurei!

I guess playing for 4 seasons helps you complete side quests with the next season’s character. But, I have only kept the last 3 seasons character and none of them have been able to complete all the side quests! So, much for you the first character doing everything for the rest of the characters to come in the future seasons. Doing the first time is almost impossible to get done in a season with the possibility of missing a note without out help. Simply, if anything can go wrong, it will sooner or latter.

Zolmation, thank you for sharing your comments and all your hard work!
I started on Kenjistan because it s 43/44.
From your list I picked " Khazra" and it took be to the side quest “Sealed Khazra Offering”, easy enough!
Showed me a find location on the map and a picture in the game world!
Based on you work, a comment, " The Sealed Khazra Offering drops from a random Moon Clan Marauder enemy in Southern Expanse . Where we found it may differ from where you will find it.
The only mobs that let you know you are fighting the right targets are the “Moon Clan Marauder” (the big guy in the group).

So, I have been farming for a few hours. Seeing how this turns out.

now im not a side quest expert as i really did just the bare minimum for my renown back then, but maybe the map tool from maxroll will help you? (thought id link it as you didnt mention which 3rd party site you are using)

simple uncheck everything but “side quests” and uncheck every region but the region you want to check.

The 3 added side quests are all linked to that idiot that screams at you in Kyovoshad. It was added after the Vampire season.

I had trouble getting 100% and found a helpful thread on reddit. Two tricks for the hard to trigger environmental ones… repeatedly click dead bodies, ores and herbs. And do it in each region and subregion. The cache quest listed in Pallid Glades (west Fractured Peaks) dropped for me in the southern half, not the northern half (different subregion name if you pay attention at the top of the screen).

Thanks so much for posting on this. I’m definitely someone who loves to make sure I’ve completed everything before the end of the season and it’s SOOOOOOOOO frustrating that there isn’t an easier in-game way to do this. It’s such a basic feature you’d think so I don’t understand why someone at Blizzard can’t get this done and dusted for us
