I am 87 freaking hours into this mess of an XPAC, and my character -still- can’t take Uber Bosses single. Not even w/ the x2 seasons ago, supposedly “OP” Bash Barb, wasn’t happening. The game is way, unbearably too grindy. Eighty seven hours, and I can’t do all of the content in this video game?!? Why do I need to spend TWO HUNDRED HOURS farming and grinding, just to kill one single kind of boss, that STILL has retarded stacking debuffs to just one shot my char?!? Reduce the grind, Blizz. It’s sickening*.
*Even DARING to try Uber Duriel just cost me 300k in repairs. Yes I’m salty.
not only do devs cater to them,… they also give normal people a false sense of how the game actually functions
on top of that… you have to follow one of their busted build guides or you will nevever even come close to the same damage output
gaming SUCKS now because its all designed around whales or people who can sit and play for a living
if they didnt make these games extrmely grindy… streamers would be “finished” in 24 hours and it would make their precious game look bad
if my average play time is 4 hours a night… and thats generous… a streamer doing a single 24 hour stream at launch is basically a 6 day head start against me.
Are you trying these bosses in Torment 4 or Torment 1?
MW your gear to 4/12 and you should be able to beat them. I am not sure what level or how many hours I had when I beat the first one. I just remember Pit wise, that I was almost at the Pit for Torment 2 when I beat the bosses (like 5 or less levels to the next torment level).
In short if you just entered the torment level you should wait before trying the boss.
Your entire post is a tangent. OP didn’t provide a lot of useful details about their char, but what they did provide was hours played. Ergo, how many calendar days have passed, and how the mean streamers have ruined your worldview etc, have no bearing on the topic imo.
.
Ok, 87 hours. That’s all the real info you provided.
What class? What build? And what Torment difficulty? 87 Hours doesn’t tell us much. If you’re super efficient then 87 hours is a lot and you should be crushing. If you’re more about chilling and taking it slow with one of the weaker classes then that could explain it.
If there were no streamers, the meta would still exist. People would still find the best builds and share them.
As far as I know it’s usually not streamers who theory craft the most busted builds. Sure, streamers broadcast those builds but they’d still be available without streamers.
And then the devs would just look at what the top performing players are doing instead of looking at the streamers. It would be no different.
If it wasn’t streamers, it would be forums, whether official or other dedicated gaming forums like Gamefaqs. The sharing of strategies have existed long before streamers in the form of strategy guides, websites, forums, irc channels, etc. Heck, I remember a site back in the day with video based strats for Final Fantasy X.
However, if you are unable to beat Tormented Bosses on Torment 1, you may need to look at the synergies of your gear and skills as well as leveling glyphs with proper synergies. I’'m running nowhere near perfect gear nor the meta on my builds, and none of my glyphs on any of my 5 characters are above 46, the entry point into Legendary, and I can do most of the T3 bosses solo depending on my character; if not T3, T2 is no issue. And I’m probably around 50-70 hour range in the season (breaking now as I’ve been playing D3 since Friday season start).
It’s because the itemization is based on damage multipliers. So you either stack all of them and the game becomes trivial or you neglect a couple and your character is orders of magnitude weaker. This is why your build looks the same as everyone elses or is terrible. There aren’t multiple viable ways to do a build like in other arpgs. Just go through the legendary aspects and paragon glyphs and combine as many offensive and defensive damage bucket multipliers as you can find and t4 will be a breeze regardless of your class. There are a few other things like solving resoruces too but the devs have given items for all this stuff. The really hard part is finding the endgame. Let me know if you do.
Barbs arent the best, but they can do torment 4 pretty fast. I slowed down at pit 80 with hota. bonking people from 350m to 4 bill if I get lucky. Kinda slow too, lol. The good news is that the fastest way to get 300 paragon is doing super fast pit 65s. I think you can make a barb build that moves fast and can kill effectively at that lvl
