I urge Blizzard to Reconsider Increasing Density!

Yes… Please do not touch the density anymore, because that will kill build diversity! And by what i mean is i can give examples for Barbarian mostly - I played Rend barb and when i reached WT4 the skill became to struggle a lot and that’s because of the density. People who rant to increase the density probably are playing only WW barbs or similar AoE heavy skills in other classes and i get them, these type of skills are good in AoE and single target, but meanwhile skills like Rend,Double Swing and even HOTA struggle in high density areas! There are dungeons that are with tiny corridors and small rooms and those rooms some of the dungeons spawn simultaneously 10-12 elites i kid you not(i counted them) and its not fun to deal with them with skills like Rend or similar skills… And if you increased it even further, i suppose we are gonna see WW only barbs and forget about everything else!

And also if i remember, this game was suppose to bring i little different touch in the genre by making it more slow pace and immersive tactical combat. And increasing the density you’ll kill that… Games like PoE and D3 offered the zoom zoom same feel generic builds, if this one bacome the same, why should continue play this one when it’s gonna feel the same… The market needs diversity!

Maybe instead of holding the game back because it has to many single target and low AoE abilities they should look into buffing them up. Rend could easily have its range increased to make it more usable in larger AoE fights.

That being said there are a lot of slower paced ARPGs out there that you could play.

We don’t really need more monster density, we just need consistent monster density. Some dungeons are almost empty.

I skip 90% of mobs because the groups are too small so it’s not worth killing them…Higher monster density is the only time it’s actually fun

As above. No way we need way more. Better to solve it with reworking skills or adding aspects or uniques that can up killing power

Heh i can say the same thing to you. And besides, the slow pace aPRGs you are talking about, are too old…

Once lvl 100 is reached players will tend to skip trashes and focus on elites. Till last patch getting 100 was grindy but was somewhat an achievment. Now when reaching it is easy, soon ppl will realise that increased mob density does not bring anything good to the table. On lvl 100 trash mobs will be just delaying elite kills, which are best way to get chance for loot. So it will be fun to see future cries: “density is fine but why not moaaar elites?”.

The is a legendary effect to make the hammer aoe things around you. I don’t know whether there is something similar for bleed builds, I haven’t tried it or looked into it.

Giving this the big thumbs down

Lots of monsters please. All on the screen at once

Less space in between paks and less of the kill 5 and then 5 more spawn offscreen or right in front of you

Tactical combat is early in WT1 and WT2 when you face 1-2 elites at most and actually with subpar gear you can outplay mobs. I am actually impressed by this aspect of game, they did put a lot of work into combat, to make mobs with different movesets that you can look for, dodge etc. I am also impressed that most of it is rendered obsolete after you unlock wt3 and it becomes good ol’ D3 where you have 4+ elites and 20 mobs in tight rooms so you adjust your build and start zoomin around deleting everything by just looking at it.

But this is what people want.

I remember what people were asking for and complaining about after RoS release, and people were initially happy when it was implemented but at the end they were leaving the game because of it. Because apart from chasing for better gear there was no challenge to overcome.
Then they get hyped again with new season with new things to collect that will increase power level tenfold but after collecting it they get bored again because combat mechanically was not challenging.

And yes, blowing up packs of demons is fun and very satisfying, but for a short time and people get bored after 2 weeks into the season.

But from what i read on forums and from dev responses, this is what people want from diablo and devs will repeat development cycle that already happened in D3.

Increased density is awful, it forces more builds to be aoe focused for speed

Your selfish desires have many consequences for the health on the game, you dmb baffoon

Sir that would make too much sense and I am going to need you to stop that right this instance!

…Are you high? The mob density in this game is laughable. Half of barb’s kit being awful is no excuse for the game to throw 5 zombies at you and grin like you’re supposed to be having fun.

Oh, you’re trolling. Nevermind.

You make some good points but I still think density needs to go up. Maybe they can find other ways to tackle the problems you’ve pointed out here, while still buffing mob density.

Increasing density leads invariably to boring, brainless, idle-clicker game like D3. No thank you.

Keep combat somewhat meaningful, otherwise it’s no longer an ARPG.

I’m going to hate increased density in 80+ NM dungeons, and love it in every other setting.

What I think would help is using veiled crystals to reroll NM keys, and having density be a modifier. “Increased number of X monster by [% range]” X = normal, elite, ?magic?

NM key level RNG can go away. Let me target NM key level. Off topic tough.

Using the materials we have for any type of crafting in general would be nice, but off topic.

I logged out and never returned after the density nerfs. Guess others did too, blizzard goes off data and metrics. Clearly people want more density.

What do you mean laughable?? Even the king of high density PoE doesn’t have 12+ elites stacked together, but this game is! Do you even play this game, and tell me a aRPG that have that many density in one place - and you want even more…?! (facepalm)

This must be your first ARPG, this is what they’re all about. A good build accounts for both trash clear and single target. Focusing too much on either one is always going to lead to a bad time.
