The reason I like leaderboards in an ARPG is that you can get lucky and end up being one of the top players because you have more powerful gear than others. People who have worse gear can compensate with their skill.
In Diablo 4 you are required to waste X amount of time to get best possible item in the game and you end up being a clone of other players. As long as that is the case, I’m not interested to even challenge myself in the trials. There is no point for me to compare my score to others, because I know every single person on that list is using a build based on über uniques.
When I want a competition based on skill and precision I play e-sport games, or games like Quake 3 defrag. In Diablo games I want to compete with my luck.
Lunar was interesting and some cases fun for 30 minutes. Just like gauntlet.

Which are supreme in speed. This same guy is breaking 1mil score for sorcs atm…
You can have the same levels of speed without ubers. Ubers are used to speed farm T100’s and carry 4 mans in T100’s easier. Do bosses easier etc.
This is T70 level content for gauntlet.
