I think T3, T4 is not really what it is intended to be (because it is required!)

The current system keeps drop chances consistent across Torment levels, while item quantity increases with each one. Basically, if you can take down enemies quickly in Torment 1 (T1), it makes sense to move up to Torment 2 (T2), and if you’re still killing it, then go for Torment 3 (T3), and so on. Most players will likely find T3 to be the sweet spot for farming, while Torment 4 (T4) should be for those really powerful builds after they’ve analyzed their kill speed and efficiency.

Ideas for Improving Engagement and Rewards

To make things more engaging and meaningful, I think we should consider a different approach: gradually reducing the number of items that drop in higher Torment levels while boosting the prestige rewards. Here’s how that could look:

  1. T1 Drops:
  • Standard drop rates for ancestral items.
  • This is where players can easily gear up and kick off their journey.
  1. T2 Drops:
  • Similar to T1 but with a higher quantity, allowing for quicker gear acquisition.
  • Introduce a better chance for unique crafting materials or basic transmogs.
  1. T3 Drops:
  • Here, we could reduce the item quantity back to T1 levels but add in cool transmogs, skins, and similar rewards.
  • Introduce achievements for completing specific challenges, like taking down elite enemies within a time limit.
  • Implement a system where players can track their efficiency, helping them refine their strategies.
  1. T4 Drops:
  • T4 would drop even fewer items than T1, but would still have the chance for ancestral gear.
  • Add exclusive rewards like mounts, unique skins, or titles for completing tough challenges (like a “Duo T4 DC Raid” in a certain time).
  • A leaderboard for T4 challenges could create a competitive vibe and encourage skilled gameplay.

By shifting the focus from just farming gear to earning unique cosmetics and achievements, we can make the endgame experience more rewarding and fun for everyone. Players will have clear goals, and only those who really master the content will thrive in T3 and T4. This way, everyone gets to enjoy the journey, while still providing challenges for the elite players.

Your system makes it so ppl would just farm T2 for the most drops until fully geared and then farm T4 for cosmetic stuff. Its a completely backwards system. So I have to say :x: on this attempt.

Higher difficulty should always mean more item drops not the reverse.

Currenty they are trying to tell people they never have to leave T1 though.

I dont understand the purpose behind this OP. Seems like youre trying to muddy the waters before they even settled.

They aren’t ‘trying to tell people’ that. They mean it.

Their system u get more drops per difficulty. Your system reverses this. You get penalized for going up torments in yours. Nobody is going to want to do this until fully geared or near end of season.

And yet, here they come—those forum ants, oblivious to the wealth of knowledge I bring. They argue and debate, convinced they know better, while I stand here, the seasoned veteran who understands what truly matters. My suggestions are not just opinions; they are the keys to unlocking the game’s potential.

But that’s alright. As long as you acknowledge that my wisdom shines above the noise, I can tolerate the delusions that cloud your judgment. So go ahead, continue your discussions, while I remain the beacon of clarity in this chaotic dialogue. The legacy I’ve built in this epic saga will outlast the fleeting trends of the forum crowd.

I’m out. Good bye! And don’t think I will not return.
Remember, you are the ants in this machinery of some call “existence”.

Simple. Keep ancestor chance the same from T1 to T4. Increase chance by 2 GA and 3 GA. The difference in damage increase is small and only pro players vote for them.

Damn your idea got rejected by 2 people and you already turned tail and ran, calling people ants like an anime villain? You need some thicker skin OP.

But yea, finding loot to make your character stronger is the entire point of an ARPG- your suggestion misses this entirely.

Did hewhoishim make an alt account? You are talking just like him.

You cant accept the valid and reasonable criticism? How does increasing difficulty give you less items make sense???

And I for one have no great interest in cosmetics. My Barb runs around without any armour. So this concept is a big no from me. Yes, I want more chance of better items to enhance my build.
