i have to reboot every 10 min of gameplay because of hardware crash…
Make sure all hardware has the latest drivers and bios updates.
thats what i thought too, but every driver was up to date
No, it didnt. If you have any hardware that called it quits, it was either faulty, or was going to die anyway.
A game cannot fry your mobo, cpu, gpu, ram, hdd, ssd, monitor, mouse, keyboard, router, modem, or anything else you people seem to try to say it does.
Set the max frame rate to like 60 with vsync or something, to make the system run much more chill.
i guess, its just sad that it happened on a beta…
the beta literally bricked hundred if not a thousand or more Nvidia geforce 30 series graphics cards…
No it didnt, the cards were defective.
Cards are designed and built to throttle before heat or current damages them. They didnt. They were flawed from the manufacturer. Try again, and at least google basic knowledge before you do.
Blizzard failed to integrate a frame rate limiter. And yes, there were soldering issues around the MOFSET circuits which EVGA claimed during the New World beta. But they also failed to integrate a frame rate limiter.
So if you want to be technical about it, it’s a bit of both, code and card architecture. However, your initial statement was still wrong, which you completely ignored.
A Game or any hardware intensive software can indeed place a load great enough that it can fry any said hardware.
You can easily compare hardware to a bridge. Too much weight can cause a bridge to exceed it’s capacity and collapse.
Not capping frames wont force a card to not throttle when its supposed to.
If the card wasnt defective, it would have went “oh man heating up, pulling to much power, time to pull it back”
They didnt.
Again, card problem, NOT game problem. The cards FAILED to do what they are supposed to.
Now, lets apply some logic here.
Why was it only 3080 tis, and mostly from one manufacturer? If it was the game, why didnt an equal number of amd equivelent, and ALL lower series cards just spontaneously combust?
Because allllllll those other cards performed as they were supposed to, and throttled like they were designed to (and all cards for the last decade at least have been)
Now, when youre done proving you dont know what youre talking about, at all, go try to educate yourself a little, from different sources than you have used already, because they, like you, are horrifically wrong.
damn, a mobo i can afford but another 3070!?! …i cant.
One, it wasn’t only the 3080ti.
Two, why was it only Diablo 4 and New World that have done this?
Three, you are still ignoring the flawed logic in your original statement.
Have a good day, sir.
Of course it wasnt ONLY the 3080s.
Theres going to be cards that die naturally or for also being faulty in small quantities that appear to be related, but arent. When theres hundreds of thousands of people, lots of whom have no clue what theyre doing or talking about, thats going to happen.
The overwhelming majority were 3080 tis. The vast majority of those were gigabyte, with a few asus and evga.
Want to know a fun fact? They all get their components from the same places. Gigabyte got hit the hardest, but, to anyone who can see 1+1=2, that means a batch of said componenets went out to all of them and they had issues gigabyte just happened to be in the largest restocking cycle.
Again, to anyone with any knowledge about how it all works, you are clearly showing you dont. Id suggest in the future when you know just enough about something to think you can speak to it, you dont, because that just means you know enough to be so confidently wrong you look ignorant.
I SAaaAID GOOD DAY, SIR!
Should the frames be limited in low render areas like menus? sure.
But a card that’s functioning properly also won’t die if it’s put in that situation.
This is at best 10% on companies like blizzard and new world not limiting frames and 90% on the manufacturer.
As I stated, that it’s a bit of both. Glad someone could read it and understand.
whatever the argument, my pc was working fine for the past year until i installed and play D4
Don’t update the BIOS if it’s ASUS hardware.
What he said! ASUS beta bios update voids the warranty of the motherboard. Contact them about what happened and see if you can get a replacement.
Asus motherboard with an AMD 7000 series X3D CPU? If that is the case, good luck friend with getting it RMA’d with Asus. You’re gonna need it from what I have been reading and hearing.
