If you’re playing Blood Lance too I’d like to chat in this thread.
I’m on Hardcore just unlocked Torment II.
Basically I can chunk bosses for half their health all at once. I have a suspicion there is an Execute happening which isn’t supposed to work on bosses. Either that or I’m getting an Overpower Crit and the stars align.
+If+ there is an execute happening on bosses that’s unintentional, I’d love to get a heads up before any nerfs. Because, like I said I’m the only one playing Blood Lance, or so it seems. And especially on Hardcore.
That being said, I’m assuming that at Torment IV the health chunk will be like 5%-10% instead of half their health, but yeah.

Ure not alone (maybe yes in hardcore. hahahah).
Bloodlance is my second most favorite playstile.
Looks normal to me. On actually state of Diablo4 with all procs (vuln+crit+op+all bonuses) we can do a big blow on boss health.
My build (work in progress T1-T2) many times does the same.

I played Lance back in Season of Blood (Season 2). Back then, Lance was craaaazy good. I still think it’s good now but I’m overloaded with builds I want to try out and play that I haven’t gotten an opportunity to go back to it and see what I can come up with.

I just used Blood Lance to get the Journey requirement of Torment IV: 10 Helltide chests in a single Helltide. I use Shako, Grandfather, Banished Lord talisman, Mutilator, Indira’s, and Yen’s Blessing (for all resist). Gloves, and rings all had the Blood Lance aspects. I had to give up the fancy aspects such as sacrifice bonus and corpse tendrils those I did not use.
But yeah I completed the full Season Journey. Mostly playing Bone Spear (Blood Spear as Macro likes to call it) but I found that Blood Lance is a lot more fit for Torment farming such as Whispers, Helltide, Infernal Hordes, and Under city.
I found Banish Lord’s offers another guarantee over power and it’s super nice, so I wasn’t always waiting for the overpower from the key passive which If I remember takes like 15 seconds.
Banished Lord is very nice. But I preffer the runes combination Ahu + Xan. With BloodLance replication of Gore quill’s Aspect the runes make OP works very fast.

Sorry I had to edit my post that I wasn’t using mace and shield. I switched over to Grandfather. Sorry about that. I suppose only my gloves and rings had the Blood Lance aspects.
I don’t know if I have found a Xan rune yet. Since I finished the journey I have nothing to lose so I could possibly craft some runes. I know I have Ahu.
One Rune word I use in every Necro Build is “Evade + gives movement speed”
