I think I accidently salvaged a mythic in an unusual way

I was looking through my materials tab and noticed I had a resplendent spark. This was odd because I have not killed Uber Lilith, a tormented boss, or completed the season journey. So unless I am missing something, I must have salvaged a mythic. “That’s odd” I said to myself, there’s no way I saw a purple beam and didn’t realize it. Plus, I’m playing dance of knives, so in order to pick up items I actually have to stop channeling and deliberately pick up items. How could I have acquired a mythic and not known it?

Then it occurred to me: it must have been the completion award for completing a nightmare dungeon which I was grinding at the time. I’m talking about the items that appear as thumbnails on your screen when you complete a dungeon and go straight into your inventory, hence why I had a mythic in my inventory but never saw one drop on the ground.

I don’t even know which mythic it was, so what I don’t know don’t hurt me. However, I’m still a little bummed because there is a certain level of “unfairness” in the circumstances. It would be hard to realize I had a mythic in my inventory when I hit salvage all; I pretty much just salvage everything that doesn’t have a greater affix.

Ultimately, I would like Blizzard to make all Mythics favorite by default, or at least have the option to make them so.

You can, use space to mark them as favorite and they cannot be salvaged that way.

I know. I’m saying make Mythics favorite on pickup/by default as in my case you might not know you have one in your inventory.

think they retroactively gave everyone a spark at some point because of bugs. I know one turned up in my inventory unknown.

Okay good to know. Hopefully that’s the case, but my “favorite by default” recommendation stands.

while i see and understand you are bummed out, its really 100% on you. It shows you the rewards for completing the nmd. You saw your inventory when going to the smith, and there is an extra warning before you salvage everything.

Its a lesson some people need to learn once. Dont just rush click through everything, especially when it comes to items. it doesnt hurt to pay attention for 2 seconds ^^

Yes. This is fair. I do pay more attention to the NMD rewards now.

if it helps, really, many people had to learn that lesson. i salvaged a mythic once because i was too stupid to use the favorite option ^^

such stuff only happens one time ^^

we can do lilith real quick if you need help on her, that way you get a spark back :slight_smile:

Well it is even more flex. Mythics were pretty rare in S2. Didn´t see one until S5.

This! I got one for nothin as well. Had to do with Lilith kills not granting a spark so they decided to give one to everyone a while back

k, then its really the same solution as last time. if you killed lilith in prior seasons you got a spark.

You can get a Mythic from the Undercity unique tributes.

You did not accidentally salvage a mythic. They gave everyone a lilith resplendent spark because of a bug at the beginning of the season.

Just a heads up- Lilith isn’t consistently dropping sparks this season. I killed her for the first (and last) time this season yesterday and didn’t get one. It has been reported in the bug forums.
