I refunded my ultimate on xbox. I already bought ultimate on PC and found out you only need one ultimate per battlenet account (im such a dummy sometimes). So i refunded my xbox ultimate and just re-pre-ordered the standard on xbox.
Just remember the one that is ultimate is the one that has the early access to the game not the standard one
Yup. Thanks for the reminder. I dont really care about the early access though so its all good!
Yeah, might pick up the standard on PS5, since I have the Ultimate on PC. That way I’ll get my early time in on PC, then be able to go back and forth on actual release.
Man you had my pitch fork ready, good for you man hope you enjoy D4 on both platforms
That’s Deluxe. They really go out of their way to make you think you need to pay the extra $10 for Ultimate, but there’s zero difference in terms of head-start between Deluxe and Ultimate.
Maybe I’m stupid… But, why? The game has cross platform support, so if you want to play with xbox friends on PC you still can. I just don’t see a point in playing on 2 different systems, when you can do the same thing on one?
Wow so this is how gamers are TODAY! Not buying game on every console! Wow
/s
Hahaha! Yea that was the point. Get everyone all riled up for a bad joke lol. Lets all laugh at the expense of the trolls, hehe.
I do have a question. Becausw my xbox account is attached to my battlenet, can i still choose to keep them separate from eachother? Just curious.
I meant his higher version is the one with the early access not ultimate specific just in the this case with his two editions
You’ll need to link a different bnet account or make a new bnet account to have separate progress since it’s cross progression on the same account
You still need a separate license to play on diff platforms. You cant buy it for pc and expect to have it available on ur xbox unless u buy on xbox too.
But why play it on the xbox at all is my point? You can still play with your same friends, use the same controller, and do everything that the xbox can… on PC. So why buy both?
My main platform is PC so i bought it there first. However, my best friend wants to play the game with me. He only has an xbox ss and ps4. So we split the cost of the xbox copy so we can play couch co op together.
D3 has a WAY nicer UI on consoles than on PC, but now with D4 it’s a unified AI with the same controller and UI options on all platforms (and the PC one looks like it’s a port of the console one
) so yeah, it’s almost exactly the same experience everywhere.
Nice twist there, hoss! ![]()

Figured everyone was tired of the horrible posts, so i just decided to make it fun for the rest of us to share a real life story lol
So basically you bought your friend a copy so he can play with you… that makes more sense. Because otherwise it’s just ridiculous to play on both systems.
Ngl, I do feel for the folks that couldn’t make it happen because they had busy work schedules that couldn’t be avoided, or because they had terrible/underleveled teammates every time they tried. Would have been cool if the reward could have at least been based off a single player activity, but I think testing instanced combat with server strain was one of the main points, so them’s kinda just the breaks. There will be plenty more cosmetics to be had though, and almost certainly another Ashava trophy, even. ![]()
I mean, it’s cross-progression. Two copies makes sense for any reason. Whether it’s playing couch co-op, or just wanting to not be at a desk all the time and play on a bigger screen. Then you have options as well. TV being used? time to hop on computer. Etc.
