I really hope the trial and gauntlet announcing tomorrow for S3 will have rewards worth grinding for

To be specific, 1 -2% drop rate is not worth grinding for - Duriel being the only end game aside from uber malphaus is absolutely a chore for single player trying to self motivate to farm for uber uniques.

Blizz, please make gauntlet and trial worthy to grind for. I can comfortably clear NM 90+ vaults and NMD right now and I am pretty much done for the time being. I don’t see myself as a solo player to continue grind helltides and varshan just to kill Duriel few times for that 1-2% drop rate of end game.

I know a lot of you out there are in my situation. You are done with the Season as you have pretty decent gear and just don’t see enough motivation to continue grinding for such a low uber drop rate with boring helltides and Varshan.

So Blizz,. I hope tomorrow announcement is not just going to be rewards of 925 gears. Because a lot of people don’t even care about 925 gears anymore. We need Uber Uniques to drop in the gauntlet and trials and we need a high enough drop rate to motivate us to keep grinding these new end game loop you have in store for us.

Stop artificially gatekeeping the grind by using multiple boring mats. Either make the grind interesting, engaging and rewarding enough as a base line to attract people to keep grinding. The 1-2% drop rate isn’t the right answer, in fact that serves the opposite and no one wants to grind if the drop rate is that low.

Or, Please add Set items, or something new that drops from the gauntlet and trials… Either way, I really hope these new activities coming in S3 will bring us players back

Bragging rights and I think cosmetics if you place leaderboards. They already spoke about the rewards.

Difficulty is going to be nm70

Titles too if I remember correctly, because everyone pays attention to those.

Yep. I mean lets face it, if you place top of the leaderboards there are not gear rewards because you already have everything. So the only thing left is cosmetic/title rewards.

So you are implying people at the top already have ubers ? well, that just goes to show how imbalanced and unfair this will be lol…

A lot of people don’t have ubers…you realize that right ?

Those people definitely won’t be competing in the leaderboards then, you realize this right?

so you are saying blizz is going to release content for 2% of the player base ? I highly doubt it

Were you not around last season for AoZ? I feel like you weren’t.

Also I said competitive, I didn’t say people wouldn’t be able to do the gauntlets.

I was around for AoZ. The particpation for that activity was really low . Blizz even came out and acknowledged that it was only to test water and gauge interest, and said content like AoZ is unlikely to return in the future.

and your second statement exactly proves my point. What makes you think majority of the player base will want to take part in these new activities if the rewards are not going to be attractive or worthy to grind for…

Well frankly I have zero interest in it regardless of the reward.

Leaderboards in gear dependent games almost always favor those with the best gear and the most time.

Oh they won’t, I imagine many will be like me, try it out the first week, then ignore it for the entirety of the season and wait for season 4 to come out.

and if you don’t play 24/7 like the top of the leaderboards do you don’t have a chance either
Is there even a competitive sport where you expect to just show up and win because you showed up and not putting the time and effort in to earn the spot

I just want something else to do before S4… I don’t really care to be top of the board but, I am pretty sure my gear is good enough to participate in it. As I can clear NM 90+ pretty comfortably.

edit And I can zerg Duriel down in less than 10 seconds lol (BS Necro). So, I am sick of farming hell tides and Varshan I killed Duriel maybe like 20-30 times total ? I am solo player and I play legit no buying mats or anything. I don’t have ubers

I just want to spend more time in the game as of now, there is nothing or no motivation for me to log in =(.

I hate to say it…

Yea… I’m just gonna say it, it’s called playing a different game. I know you want to play Diablo 4, but yea there’s nothing to do in the game or any motivation to play it. Which is why I’m playing other games. I also get the feeling Season 4 won’t add more actual content for us to play with at the endgame either, so it’ll be more of the same, get to 100, duriel grinds, people complaining on the forums, rinse repeat.

I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt I am.

You relaize it will be about speed and not ubers right?

Anyone who actually places top of the leaderboards will likely have spent hundreds of hours in the season. Its not that hard to get the uncommon uniques anyways.

Your reward will be the satisfaction of trying to outwit the cheaters so your name can be on a list that many people do not care about. One of the main topics on the D3 forum is about the cheaters on the leader boards.

Just to reiterate this point:

Here’s what The Gauntlet is:

  • A weekly timed challenge dungeon.
  • It becomes available at World Tier 4.
  • It has a set layout, with the same monsters, affixes etc.
  • It is non-linear, so you can choose where to go when to find the optimal path.
  • Monsters and chests in The Gauntlet only drop Proofs of Might, which will add to your score.
  • It remains the same throughout the week, and then changes to the next layout at the start of each new week.

No doubt some content creator will create the ‘optimal route’ and people will copy it to try to be competitive. But I agree with Lazyloaf here, it’ll be about speed.

Oh really ? how come I don’t have one ? I don’t understand why you call it uncommon uniques. It is still very much rare just because you were lucky to have one or more doesn’t mean it is uncommon for everyone else.

A lot of people bought duped mats too… what is why some ppl have ubers. We are legit solo players, and they are extremely rare for us.

If you really want to spend more time in the game, then just go in and spend more time in the game instead of making excuses as to why you can’t
I don’t need an excuse to play, don’t have to make excuses as to why I can’t play either

It is called giving feedback for the game to improve… You can watch the paint dry and why don’t you just stare at the paint dry instead of doing anything else in life ?

Your analogy is terrible.
