Endless hours smiting down the demons and spinning my way to victory…
I log into my 7th alt character to use their inventory as storage to put away a couple items to save for other builds and characters.
I realize its not a good idea because the items I am storing require level 100.
That’s okay though. I pack up my stuff and get ready to depart for a new adventure.
I replace the aspects on my 1h swords because they are still disabled after 3 days and I’ve completely lost hope in them working ever again.
I read the forums to see if maybe they are coming back. Nope. Just more nerfs to players and builds instead of any monsters that constantly CC or common monsters that deal more damage than the endgame boss ever will.
Nothing.
A beacon of hope shines down upon my face as I enter a high tier nightmare dungeon. I know this is the endgame that will ascend me to new heights and reward me with something incredible.
I step into the coveted Champion’s Demise and know the instance front to back already. I run down the lane and get rooted by a spider and die immediately. I should have saved my cooldowns for that spider. I run back and defeat the spider and continue my path of destruction on the demons of Diablo 4. I run into another spider, this time its elite and instantly 1 shots me as I get close to it with some frozen ability I didn’t even see.
I go back to town and repair my armor. I head back through the portal and complete the dungeon.(I skipped the spider because its harder than the last boss of the dungeon) Nightmare tier level 75 Completed. Super excited I finally got the achievement.
I obtained glyph XP, a pair of 737 Power gloves, and a Flawless Ruby.
Honestly tired of even trying on this post.
Item drops should not be limited to your level requirement.
Many mobs require balancing, particularly in terms of damage and crowd control spam.
We should have an increased number of stash tabs.
Pushing nightmare dungeons seems pointless since the loot is no different from running the same dungeon on normal WT4 difficulty. (You can obtain ten times more uniques by grinding WT4 difficulty dungeons.)
Currently, most unique items are underwhelming.
Enchanting to reroll stats should have information on the possible outcomes.
The cost of enchanting is excessively high in the cost of gold
Legendaries cannot be traded to players in your party, which is 0 fun.
The whispering tree’s rewards are pretty bad.
Some chase items are so rare that 99.99999% of the playerbase will NEVER see them. Feels pretty bad knowing you won’t get them regardless of time investment.
Horses should have the ability to sprint within town, although I find that I am faster on foot.
New characters in Adventure Mode should have their map uncovered…
The scaling of armor against enemies of higher levels should be tweaked, as enemies already possess an inherent advantage due to their increased damage output from being higher level.
Resistances exhibit minimal effectiveness.
World bosses lack excitement and just feel like target dummies.
Implementing blanket nerfs on classes due to one build outperforming others harms the progress of other builds that are already lagging behind.
Its weird that the priority is nerfing players rather than fixing the game.
ANYWAYS.
I loved the game. I was so addicted pushing to 100 and had fun the entire way. I did find it odd there’s no achievement for hitting 100 but that’s okay
Keep up the work and see you in the first season
TLDR: Game needs a lot of work but was fun nonetheless.
I laughed so hard at this post. As someone who also got to level 100, so much of this rings true. The design of this game just makes no sense to me. The best, coolest items in the game are literally unattainable.
i dont see the point of pushing higher nightmares dungeons if they dont give better drops at all :
i am lvl 91 doing tier 39 dungeons . they give me between 650 to 800 ilvl items
i did a tier 50 with a lvl 100 friend ( it took us 30 min ) and we got … an ilvl 680 yellow item at the end !
???
confused , i think iwill level up to 100, try to do a build for lilith then come back at first season
I feel this way regardless. I’m afraid to play anything besides druid because I won’t want to play it again after I steamroll the game with any other class.
Yeah the game kinda feel empty.
It’s like you farm for “something” that will come after but it’s just endless dungeon with the same thing again and again. I think they could implement tons of new thing to make the game exciting but right now the end game is absolutely boring. I’ve uninstalled the game, had a good run tho.
It’s definitely not meant to be playable more than a few days in total. Or maybe casually hitting a dungeon with some friends but that’s it.
Campaign was really good tho, way better than D3. That’s about it
I don’t care how other people play the game. I look at patch notes to see if my game experience will get any better and none of them have done that for me.
Yes, it seems you do need help with builds, because, as YOU said, your experience is not getting any better. That’s a you situation, because as I said, there are very good builds for every class.
…or do you want to 1 shot every pack of elites ? Is that it?
I mentioned plenty of things up above that you skipped over.
Not sure why you’re attacking me for pointing out some things that could make the gameplay experience better. It seems like you’re upset that other people were doing more damage than your build you followed on Maxroll. Luckily though blizzard was looking out for you and fixed some of that for you so now you dont have the fear of missing out
