Fix the [censored] [censored][redacted] freezing nonstop.

Happened to me as well.
Try removing the crossplay and that stuff and also close the browser etc etc, wont fix much but at least maybe it will help.

You are expecting too much from Blizzard.
They are only a multi Billion dollar company and this game has only been out over two years!
Funny thing is, FUncom put out Dune Awakening recently…online experience…smooth as silk
Happens every season since launch. Dont like it, go find another game to play.

if your request is to fix freezing in its USD $150 million revenue worth microtransaction part, they will hotfix it right now.

I’ve played for 5 seasons (not S8) and now I’ve come back for the hydra.
This, for me, is the second unplayable season (in 6 I had crashes every few minutes or even seconds) because of the freezing screen every 5 minutes. How is this possible? I’m beginning to think that Blizz is the worst gaming company, without any testing before a patch or a graphics driver upgrade FOCUSING on D4.
Anyway the game crashes every few hours since S6 and I have a standard configuration Alienware laptop. Every patch that Blizz makes me install is full of more and more bugs and usually I can’t play the game a while after that.
Unbelievable how after so many years of making video games we’ve arrived at this unimaginable low point!
I’m gonna have to Side with the OP.
My game has frozen at the worst times. Twice I ended up dead, and the other 2 times I was lucky enough to be in a group that killed all surrounding baddies.
I was really mad when a Tal Rasha ring dropped (First Unique this season , from a Chest) and as soon as it hit the ground, my game froze.
AND I Needed that ring. Obviously I was P.O. … but I decided to wait.
About 20 odd seconds my game resumed. I was Dead, but I was still able to get my ring.
Never particularly had this issue in past seasons.

Some lag, all right, I’ve had that.
However this Random Freezing, that’s Terrible. Just another reason why playing HC is ridiculous.
Y’all know my posts on here, how (FOR THE greatest Most part) I side with Diablo 4 dev teams and their decisions/choices,
HOWEVER,
dur, dur , durrr somebody over there is messing this bleep Up.

The cash shop and battlepass don’t lag. The game is fine.
could be overheating. studio wouldn’t care about player’s cooling issue; all they know is to let the app hog as many resources as possible when running their game to provide optimum experience. same thing applies to mobile games.
perhaps open up your laptop cover and blow some dust out. good luck.
i also face the similar issue. just start a fresh character, exit Cerrigar and hit on some snakes, then freezing crash happened. after that, i reduced the TEXTURE graphic setting to medium, and it performs ok already, can play few hours consecutively without crashing.
Same issue for me. Season 6 was a bust as I could barely move and now more of the same in this season.
