This is not offline diablo 4 mode, just offline to battlenet so my friends don’t see that I am playing. Sad huh? I’m tired of being the only 1 still playing and getting called out to go play a REAL game.
I do agree the game lacks inspiration and real endgame content, but some how I lile it.
you have to Hide in offline to play d4 because you worried about what your friends will think?
What game on the Blizzard launcher is an actual “Real Game”? Ask yourself why your friends have Battle Net Open at all if they want to play “Real Games”
Looks like you were supposed to be working and your friends know it, so you go offline so they wouldn’t call you out.
I’m guilty of this. I know some of my coworkers play Diablo but I don’t tell them I do because they might party up with me or see me online.
When I go to work at the clown store, I have to wear an extra set of clothing over my uniform so my friends don’t know where I work, they would judge me, and make fun of me, and torment me for the rest of the days… wait a second, what kind of friends do I have?
Because the combat IS the endgame … it has always been … in every single Diablo. And the combat is so much f’n fun. All these people keep saying “I WANT to play … but I can’t find anything to do.” You want to play because the combat is fun. There’s “nothing to do” because the game doesn’t need to give you things to do other than slaughter monsters 'en masse and look at stats on gear. That’s the game. It always has been.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is here… go play a real game.

If your buddies are that jerky about it you should get some new ones. Also possible that you’re just a little soft. Friends rib each other a lot, especially guys. I usually go offline when I’m trying to avoid party requests from lowbie friends when I’m trying to farm some higher tier dungeons, not to avoid them calling me out on playing a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad game. 
Opinions are fun. Good thing we all have our own.

If I want 100 hours of dialogue (BG3) and nothing else I’ll just go watch a movie.
Or you know, grow up and tell your “friends” to kick rocks. If you need to hide something you like doing from people you think are your friends… they aren’t your friends.
