I keep hoping they will find a way to turn the corner and make this game worth playing again. But every time I log in, I lose interest within minutes.
Most of the people I came in with to play this game have left. I stay to play with the one friend who remains here. If there was anything else out there we could play I’d find a way to drag him away and get the others to come with us.
I wouldn’t be overly surprised if this game is on its way out. But I still hold out hope as one of the original D1 testers who fell in love with the lore.

Plenty of games out there to play with other people. If anything forcing yourself to play a game you don’t like will only make things worse. You’ll begin to loathe the game, and it’ll never meet up to your expectations, trust me I’ve been there and done that multiple times over the years.
Best to just let it go my friend, you’ll feel much better in the long run, even if it feels bad to leave right now.

My take on D4 is I won’t consider playing it for even a second unless I have a dedicated group of friends to play with. The game has more than enough serious issues without adding in the oppressive single player experience. There are other, more polished ARPGs out there that offer an infinitely superior single player experience for a fraction of the cost.
Play those until when (or if) D4 reaches acceptable levels. I’ve given up hope that it’ll ever salvage its SP experience, but there’s a small chance it’ll be able to compete with its contemporaries after a few more years.
Maybe. Or not.
At least it excels at co-op play if everyone’s playing builds of a similar power level?
If they dont start putting characters and all builds on an even footing then it wont be worth it to continue in the future. They need to start putting real effort into balance.
What I said primarily hinges on the assumption that balance won’t be this big of a clown fiesta next patch. I’ve never seen balance this bad in an ARPG, ever. Given just how many bugs and stability issues D4’s current patch has suffered from, it’s actually in a less polished state than Last Epoch, which was one of the few reasons you’d play D4 over LE in the first place.

OP, I think you should come back at season 7 (or) if your on the p.c. just play the PTR December 3rd (??). AT least try that out, see if you may like it.
S6 is pretty bad… I must say. No build diversity so no one wants to play alts other than SB.
S6 seasonal mechanic is beyond terrible
