I’ve tried finding the answer to this question, but everything I read or watch says “make a new character” and I haven’t seen anything about rebirth like d3 had.
So… can I rebirth one of my toons or do I need to delete 1 and make a new one? Because that’s pretty wild if we are back tracking THAT bad with the QoL improvements from d3/d2…

No Rebirth unless they surprise us in the patch notes tomorrow.
But, there’s also no tracked stats, yet, tracking things like time played, gold found, elites killed, legendaries found, etc. Only place I’ve seen a stat like that displayed is your time played when your hardcore character dies and they are in the Hall of Fallen Heroes.
The only thing you lose compared to D3 by just deleting and recreating is having the character’s gear stripped automatically and mailed back to you on Eternal.
The worst part is having to re-do the customization (if you cared about them). And there’s no way to save, so you’ll have to re-do it every season.
