From season 2 onwards every season has been a copy paste:
- Introduce another npc that gives quest and add voice dialogue
- Do some fetch stuff, click stuff and return stuff
- “Unlock” the score board
- Farm the points for the board
- Done
How absolutely lazy, uninspired, uncreative, low effort and minimal viable product can you get? Slap a new skin on the board, slap a new skin on the drop thingy, slap another name on on it and done. Season has been developed.
How can you suck this bad at making a season? How can you even be proud as a game dev on this dribble? Where is the love for the craft? Where are the innovative approaches? Is the d4 team where devs go once they ran out of ideas?
I really effing hope that you guys will DO BETTER next season and actually develop something else and not copy paste this same approach anymore… it’s the 4th season in a row that follows the exact same pattern!
I don’t care about loot Reborn or rework of uniques as excuse for low effort season approach… blizz has 9000 people on D4, it’s completely unthinkable that 9000 people all have to pull in to rework some loot and uniques and therefore can’t find a new angle for how to approach the season.
It’s just sad at this point… it’s as the saying goes: how the mighty have fallen.
