I’m not asking that you agree, just that you try to understand.
It’s irrelevant how easy it is to form groups. Has no bearing on my wanting to solo.
Preferring solo is not anti-social or being shy. It’s not wanting to have to play at others’ pace, nor wanting them to have to play at yours.
It’s about being able to do the content you want to do, when you want to do it. Requiring ANY coordination with others goes against this.
I will NEVER try this, or any other group content. Ever. It won’t be fun for me, regardless of the substance of that content, because it requires me to play at others’, coordinate with them, etc.
It’s not selfish to feel this way, either. It’s comfort. I play games to relax and have fun, and if I’m with strangers, I won’t be, no matter the activity.
