I don't know what to do, nothing feels rewarding

Ooof that game looks terrible. Combat doesnt even look good.

I liked the other 3, so I’m giving it a shot. I’ve got to find other games while I wait for Hades 2 next year. I don’t even have a backlog anymore.

Its all good man. I hope you enjoy it. Just looked bad when I seen it.

It’s definitely not for everyone, I get it lol

diablo is just farming for more farm to get stronger to get more farm to stong etc etc. Not sure the idea of this thread. If they make it 1% harder we all say impossible, 1% too easy boring game.

FIX THE BUGS NOT THE BALANCE #FTB

a - trbutes are stupidly rare. They are rarer still without seasonal blessing and mechanics on eternal.
b. Indeed. Did around a hundred Duriel and Lilith combined on Torment 2 and got 3 legendary runes. Now i am out of mats. :stuck_out_tongue:
c. Groups have unfair advantage and they are forcing grouping down out throaths using any means - see dark citadel
d. A joke - you will destroy 3 legendary runes to get 1?
Strategy:

  1. play season
  2. play s tier build
  3. group
  4. trade
  5. complain that the game is too easy

Just to remind you 80% of the players are solo.

Do like me: Play until PoE2…

Isn’t the reward being able to craft your build that can do T4 without relying on the meta?

That’s my plan too. I don’t expect much with PoE2 but then again it’s gonna be early release so hopefully 1 year from now it will be in good condition. Again, not expecting much.

as always… streamers are the problem

when you see a streamer doing billions or trillions of damage in week one… sometimes even within the first day or 2

suddenly your 1000 damage upgrade doesnt really feel special or fun

it just makes the game unfun and boils it down to just a endless grind of trying to catch up to streamers

no even cares about d4 at this point… the only interest this game seems to generate is ā€œwhat crazy build is streamer X pushing this patchā€ or ā€œwhat bug/exploit is breaking build Xā€

the game itself is not fun… the only fun people are having is exploiting bugs or whatever untested garbage blizzard allows through

Yea, I’m at Torment IV, paragon 226, can instakill tormented bosses and dark citadel, pushing pit 95. Anything except the pit gets shredded like paper but I can’t push any further in the pit now.

And the only way im ever getting any deeper is by getting 3ga perfect masterworked items but I’ve seen about 2 3ga items in pushing to pit 95 and paragon 226. Then when I do get them its going to take me another week of farming leather to masterwork them because leather and iron chunks are the new bottleneck meanwhile I drown in an infinite amount of every other material.

I will say the game is in a much better state right now content wise than its ever been, but the endgame still has weird problems, they can never seem to find the right balance for loot.

I’ve actually almost dropped as many uber uniques this season as 3GA items. And I sure as hell can’t buy them off trade, 3GA items are reserved exclusively for whales who RMT on tradesite. It’s kind of disappointing knowing the only way my build is going to improve further is by RMTing or being a streamer that gets 3GA items dumped on them by twitch viewers.

At the very least I’ll play to paragon 300 but if by then I haven’t gotten any good 3GA items that’s probably it for me.

You people are pathetic. New season literally just started and you expect to have everything by now.

Genuinely pathetic.

By activity:

  1. Chasing the giant dog around every 30min-1hr, to get more buffs is an obnoxious seasonal mechanic and feels more like ā€œchoresā€. I’m also not convinced the buffs even do anything other than xp.
  2. NMD exist for some reason. I’m just not sure what said reason is.
  3. Pit levels glyphs and is seemingly the most important activity to do -by far-… Outside of glyphs they’re not super rewarding, but that’s actually fine given that they give more or less garunteed power via glyphs. Also the ā€œend gameā€ epeen flex activity pushing higher level pits
  4. Infernal hordes are the only ā€œrewardingā€ activity in the game, just limited in availability. I’d prefer them a touch more common, but they probably already outshine anything but pits as it is.
  5. Undercity… I thoroughly enjoy this playstyle… But the rewards suck for the effort, and appear bugged. I’ll specificy loot drop type and get literally nothing of that type, even using tributes and bargains. This feels like it should be the expansion’biggest ā€œWā€, but it’s currently imo a ā€œLā€
  6. The raid. I still haven’t done it, because I still can’t get either of my two character’s builds to a point where I’d feel comfortable contributing, because I still can’t get the drops needed to flesh builds out. Overall gear pacing seems much slower than last season, where I would have had 3 characters with their baseline build’s gear.

then go play somethings else and stop crying

have you tried anti-depression medication?

Do something different, then.
Play another game for a while. Or ā€œtouch grassā€ as the kids say.
If you actually enjoy D4, it’ll still be there months and years down the road.

I come back for each season, but I don’t play a build to level 100, er, 60 every time. Obviously, I like the core of the game well enough.

I’m still barely into the expansion, too. Haven’t even bothered with the seasonal portal monster aside from doing it once.

Blizz spends a lot of time and thought on addiction, too. When really they should just think about art, gameplay, and storytelling. D4 should cost money and have an offline mode, or be free to play, but funded by mtx like PoE. Not both.
Thankfully, you can’t actually buy XP. At least from Blizz. I’ve seen a 3rd party website that offers endgame builds with all the gear and everything unlocked on the map for $200, LMAO. Imagine paying someone to have fun for you. But I digress…

Still hunting for a couple of aspects in Torment 2. It’s a weird balance, and the flow was completely destroyed. My defenses are on point, but I lack the damage to clear elites. I either need those aspects and upgraded versions or to solve the energy starvation if I equip the basic attack unique that amps damage but costs 25 energy. I almost solved the energy problem. It’s functional, but clunky to play until I can smooth it out.

Hitting a wall like this would be fine, but I had the same problem before hitting Torment 1. I brute forced that with levels and paragon points. By the time you are max level and into paragon you should have every aspect unlocked, not necessarily at maximum.

You should actually have all the pieces in your skill tree and aspects at your disposal to have a build rocking by the time you hit the level cap. This is why aspects are asinine and they should just accept the reality that aspects are just skills they robbed from the skill twig/paragon board and put them in there where they belong and off the gear.

Fixed this up for you.

So its from the pit! I was doing bosses and got only boss mats.

Do something you have never done before. when I am stuck in a rut I make a character and build around what I find and see how far I can get.
