I don't know what to do, nothing feels rewarding

Nightmare Dungeons
Legion Events
World Boss
Latter Bosses
Undercity
Raid
Seasonal Event

Nothing feels rewarding and all seem to just give the same amount and same type of random legendary items with little to no chance of mythic uniques.

Literally just log on to run Pits and Infernal Horde because they gice the bext xp or level my glyphs which seems the only method to consistently raiae character power in this game because its certainly not from gear because getting an ancestral unique let a lone a mythic with the right rules is non exsistant.

And nothing seems to consistently drop Runes either.

Play the game for more than a week it will be rewarding.

In the same timeframe you could have enjoyed 5 other games fully.

Most relevant info missing maybe: level & difficulty?

Timeframe doesn’t give an idea of playtime or level of progress. It also doesn’t address the ‘problem’ either way.

You get more rewards the longer you play. You get stronger and start killing things you struggled with before.

I mean, I’m kinda glad I don’t have to tp to the city to sell/scrap loot all the time or scan through a myriad of items, just in case. I do feel like it’s been reduced by too much now, though. It’s a loot game. Where’s all the loot?

Also begs the question how useful opals are, when so many modes don’t even have items dropping anymore. I feel like I have to use them, if I want to level my paragons, but then they’re tedious to acquire given how quickly they are used up and besides the xp buff they seem to have next to no effect or let’s say there are many game modes where it seems like a waste to use them.

You are correct.

You farm 5 different activities, all of which give different materials which used to come from one place in previous seasons, only to be told the game is better.

There is actually nothing to do in this game except farm materials.

They need to balance players that grind all day every day vs the ones that only play 15-30 minutes a day.

I think the first whisper cache each day should be a “mega” one containing all GA.
The dark citadel weekly should also have a super high mythic drop chance.

I also agree they need longer term rewards to chip away at while improving the shorter term milestones. Stuff like the tiger mount from undercity is good.

More achievements per class would also be welcome, so you are encouraged to re-play every class and try more breadth of the game rather than a single vertical progression.

Edit: I think they did a really good job with different things to do in the game with infernal hordes for materworking, pitt for glyph xp, citadel for “once a week raid”… just need the longer term stuff and extra class stuff I mentioned above.

What would that accomplish other than burning them out? Its not like any more new systems are going to unlock at this point.

Well you get more rewards for playing longer. I don’t know what else to tell you.

Stop playing. It’s the only way Blizzard will learn they messed up. Streamers are too busy praising them for the no-lifer joyless grinding they’ve added for them to understand this is not what the average player wants.

Thats because the game is unrewarding. Loot drops on a lot of stuff doesnt even work right. If you are looking for gear though then Hordes is probably best bang for buck.

They have a problem with the gameplay, or lack of it. Getting more gear doesnt change how tge games systems work.

“A week” doesn’t mean much, is my point. Some ppl have played the game for 60 hours by now. Some others for 6. Big difference between 60 and 6. Would need a reference specific to OP.

And difficulty is an obvious factor ofc, as is level/paragon, and glyph levels. Also build. Lots of info missing.

Hopefully they’re at a point in the games lifecycle where they can focus less on systemic changes and more on purposeful content around their end game play loops.

This is exactly the problem with the game, always has been, just like Diablo 3. No matter what (so called) endgame activity you chose to do you get the same crappy legendary items and then you salvage them and that’s it. This whole game is just collecting crafting materials that you have nothing to do with.

Then maybe these kinds of long form progression games are not for you?

If you want all instant rush rush.

As a casual solo player this has been the shortest season ever. Reached Torment 2 yesterday and had the impression I have seen everything. Everything to come is just a number crunch.

And yeah, I have not once seen a mythic unique since playing D4, so I am not really caring to continue that grind.

lol, game solved and all content trivialized in 3 days…

Guess farming rawhide and iron chunks on the 1 good class is “long form progression”.

Who knew!

I pretty much feel the exact same even hitting T3. There is no reason to head into T4, and the chance of a Mythical dropping is so low (which is fine). I feel this character is done for now.

I still have to finish the story, as a dancing rogue there is a bug that causes the boss to wig-out and become unkillable. Ugh.
