So you won’t be playing next season or when the expansion hits? Just asking. Don’t get me wrong we can speculate how ‘bad’ the changes will be going into S5, but aside from what a few streamer/content creators have told you, we just don’t know how everything will pan out yet.
Although this shouldn’t be any surprise. It’s been this way since launch. Everyone complains about the patch well before it’s dropped. The patch hits, new season starts, metas are reformed, then other complaints come about.
I’ve no doubt people will be pushing further into the Pits, possibly even beating it with all the nerfs done to them. So really it just comes down to which build will get you there the fastest, and what builds won’t get you there at all.
I’m not a hardcore player and can’t even consider myself a try-hard.
Can’t say im a casual either.
Am I a casual heavy???
Something like that.
I don’t push, I don’t want or expect to be the guy doing the highest level of content…
But I want at least to my characters to see everything the game will offer.
And don’t feel miserable while doing it.
That simple.
And since I don’t look up for builds to copy, I will never be the guy doing billions of damage, so everytime they nerf the game even more, they make my (and everyone like me) life harder.
The nerfs on bosses from world tier 4 aren’t really a problem when the endgame will be the season content and Pit.
They already were more easy when compared with the content mentioned above.
So people who rolled over those will keep rolling in the same way.
Completely subjective of course, but now I have to ask, with the nerfs not only to the skills/aspects, but also the nerfs to bosses in general, do you feel you won’t have any fun with a home brewed build?
I think it’s too early to tell right now. Bosses HP was nerfed significantly, not to mention damage. So a little less damage done by the players, in the long run, won’t be as impactful late game.
It’s very easy to look at the player nerfs and ignore the enemy nerfs. Now I could be wrong, and you may find yourself stuck in NMD 50s unable to push further, with maxed out gear, and no way to enter the Pit. However, I have no evidence to backup this claim and it’d be nothing but pure speculation on my part.
If your goal isn’t to complete the Pit, but just to have fun, that’ll mostly be on your mindset going into it. If you’re already psyching yourself it’ll be bad, chances are it will be.
I’m going to be honest it’s hard to take anyone seriously when they open with such a melodramatic statement. If you’re life is worse over changes in a video game you have other issues to think about.
But on the topic I think if you’re looking at it zoomed way in to individual skills and seeing this skill went from 135%x all the way down to 45%x it seems dramatic.
But with all the boss health nerfs I get the feeling the aim here is a step closer to the balance every has on that golden pedestal. Bringing all classes up to barb would have meant they either needed to massively buff every enemy or everything would die too easily. So instead it seems they went with bringing all damage down and mob health down a bit to match. The thing is if you turn off damage numbers you’d never actually know your damage was nerfed if the mobs are dying just as fast.
I’d also guess if the stat squash and level cap reduction rumors are true making these “nerfs” now will make the expansion changes less dramatic.
The short answer is we still have to see how it’s all going to play out and not let out emotions run wild over some patch notes.
A better game? (well, not sure they are aiming for that in general, sadly)
Blizzard need to nerf A LOT more than they currently are. Exactly to make players happier, by offering them a better game to play.
To be fair the streamers are wrong because of game breaking bugs making broken builds the meta, and on top of that they aren’t fixed they are just left broken lol
They also won’t react to any speculations, misconceptions, assumptions, or drama before the patch actually hits. Never in the history of any Blizzard game has any patch changed before it released due to outrage of the player base. They get it out first, take in the feedback, then make adjustments as needed.
All game has balancing changing, the nerf is to prevent everyone use the same overpower gear and class. The game will become boring quickly as you only has limited build based on outlier items.
