I do feel bad for druid and barb going into S6

Which is why I won’t be playing it. I’d rather not be the 95% SB mains in the world at any given time.

You got it absolutely right.

Unfortunately, the balancing and livebalancing team that I saw in the chat can’t draw such conclusions. They also have no competence to balance the classes accordingly because they have too little knowledge.

As long as Diablo 4 is balanced by these people, I don’t see much hope. That excludes Colin, who seems to me to be the only one who has a clue. But his hands are probably tied and certain things are forced upon him.

PTR = Colin version, Live(nerf) = version of the others ← that’s how it seems to me sometimes

And I’m really only talking about the balancing team. Everyone else at Blizzard is doing a great job. The trailers, the game design itself (animations, technology, etc.) are all top notch.

(I wouldn’t be surprised if Blizzard simply deletes my comment here again)

I am also disappointed that class balance is not a priority.

All that new content and I am feeling meh cus my barb will not be competitive.

Balance the classes Blizzard.

Returned for the DLC. Guess the game is still treated like a bastardized mmo?

I disagree for the barb. Even at S5 it was very powerful with a berserk build, and in S6 it will be even more powerful with a Fire berserk build. And whirlwind can be very powerful too with some aspects, you can clean maps without moving your finger, for very lazy players :).

Well first off, WW is completely dead now, for a few different reasons, so that’s the first (of many) things wrong with this post.

I got a WW barb, he got max fury and auto berserk after a minimum fury and whirlwind with lot of blood damage. Can clean any map at any time.

It’s not dead. C tier is still better than D and F.

Were you able to solo IH7 with that build?
Early game the barb builds look like you are describing.

From what I understand, anything below B tier can’t compete in T4. So, uhhhh yeah that’s pretty dead in my books, chief.

only reason anyone complains about barb is to be the echo chamber of rob and other streamers.

nope, WW is so boring I change character before that level

You can clear IH4 and 5 with the proper masterworking on barb, and I am running a leap/quake build with WW. At 8-9/12 I can do 6. So 8 seems unreachable, but 7 may happen, I will run out of time possibly.

But I put this in another thread, just wanted you to see it here.

Early game it felt way ahead at IH 5 or 6 is where scaling seemed to become an issue and it felt worse than my other druid build even, not my main one that can solo IH7.

So yeah there is fall off at the end for sure.

D3 was good, but it had a massive power creep problem. I like the first seasons much more because it took time to build your character. Now they give you a full set right off the start and after 10 hours you just farm better gear and paragon. The power of a class is relative to the power of other classes. We can nerf SB to the level of other classes, and it would have the same effect, but we won’t ruin the difficulty of the game, which is already not that high.

I love druid so much and its a rare fantasy in games so its always my main in games that have it. Just know there will always be at least one druid main in this game.

I’m sad because I want to play through the game with every class, and the Druid just hasn’t been as fun as the others.

It’s cool that they seem to push new builds/classes with each season…But I with they’d just design the game more like Grim Dawn. In GD, any skill can be OP with the right gear and points spent on it.
There are some builds that are “better” than others, sure…But any build can be OP with time, skill, and luck.
It seems like the Diablo games (not just D4, and D4 is actually better at it than D2 ever was) are made to push a few “uber-builds”, have many “OK” builds, and even a few useless and trap builds. D2 was very easy to trap yourself in a bad build.
