Well, since season 4. The content is curved to accommodate and be more inclusive towards a more casual player base. If your skills exceed that, you can push harder and climb faster. I think it’s fair that the players who can do this are rewarded with faster progression.
I didn’t say it wasn’t bad, but I’m saying if the person I was responding to was asking when things get difficult, I was pointing out they can push the difficulty and be rewarded with faster outcomes. They can have their difficulty and their progress.
I find playing slow to be easy and boring. The way to compensate for that is to push harder that was simply my advice for the person looking for “when does the game get hard?”
Last time I checked T1 still exists… That’s what T1 is supposed to be for
Unless having a godly early item on an alt T2 shouldn’t allow a -15 level discrepancy breach
Also yes, Capstone should be beatable earlier (so it doesn’t drag-out for no reason) but not trivialized. Have it always scale/roll +7 from player level I think is fair, if some can beat it at lvl30 vs 37 that’s fine (some could, some perhaps not as much)
IF however a lvl25 can clean stuff for lvl50, and have all that be done “by design” then that’s just outright a bad job
I’m not commentating on whether it’s a good or bad job by blizzard. Only giving the advice on where the difficulty that person seeks may be found.
And yes, Blizzard should do better. WT1 is useless garbage and no one should play it cause killing things in WT1 isn’t actually any faster than WT2. Whatever gap that allows me to push into WT3 before I even hit level 30 is where WT2 should sit.
But that was never my statement to begin with, only to answer when does it get difficult with “when you make it difficult” – cause blizzard ain’t doing it for you and it’s not going to be immediately solved for the person that asked the question. Subsequent seasons have only shown that it gets easier and easier – cause my skill level definitely hasn’t improved.
if this is their intended approach, you’d think they’d show a Level Range for the story quests and World Tier advancing dungeons instead of just the top end of the range.
WTs 2 and 3 are an unnecessary nostalgic nod to the difficulty system of d2. WT1 should stay as is because it is the tutorial for players new to the arpg genre, and just as with the campaign, should be scipable once completed. Should a player opt to do the campaign however it should begin at WT4 and have the option to be made more difficult by adding x mob levels over the player’s.
i like wt3 on my spark alts, no one plays wt3 so i can solo the helltide mistress without others getting in my way. I also capture 27 goblins yesterday in wt3 helltide, too bad only 1 dropped a legendary loot bag and even the stuff in that bag wasnt very legendary
