Preface: Level 60 Companion Druid, 68 Paragon, 13 hours played, Torment 1
- Why are Forgotten Souls back to how they were obtained in season 1 and 2 aka running helltides basically. Boring af
- Companion Druid is so undertuned, its unreal. Have any devs even tried playing Companion Druid?
- The progression from lvl 20-60 feels awful.
- Items and their affixes are so bland and boring with absolutely zero impact until you get to lvl 60, and even then, theyre boring. Itemization needs an entire rework from scratch, AGAIN
- Why after 13 hours played am I still missing crucial temper manuals to be able to play my build? Havent even seen the Companion Utility manual for Companion Attack Speed or Companion Cooldown manual after 13 hours. Wtf is going on with this game?
- Season theme is trash, go to the limited time event on the map, chase some clown with a portal on its back for 5 minutes, then go into the portal and get opals (aka elixirs in disguise). More trash design
- Runewords are complete and utter trash, they need to be scrapped until someone over their gets some imagination and inspiration
- Undercity’s are somehow boring and annoying at the same time. STOP WITH THE TIMER BAR ON EVENTS AND CONTENT
- Infernal Hordes are the worst piece of content I’ve ever seen in an ARPG
- I haven’t seen or talked to a single person that actually wanted Mercenaries in the game. They feel useless and just more bloat that we didn’t need. Haven’t used them the entire time.
- Dark Citadel is mid at best, puts a weekly in the game (just what I want in my ARPG), and has no unique rewards besides cosmetics.
- Campaign 1/10
- Literally an “expansion” that left us with a teaser for the next “expansion”

Sorry you feel that way. I don’t know what to tell you (I’m trying to be NICE).
If you can’t get any kind of enjoyment out of the game (Some of the things you mentioned you should of known ahead of time) then don’t force yourself to play the game any longer.
If you can’t get a refund, then I’m also sorry to hear that.
Next time, before buying anything new or an expansion, just wait a week or so to really see how it is, and get other peoples Opinion.
There, that wasn’t so bad, I guess.

I must disagree, the progression from 20-60 felt reasonably noticeable. Ah Busan was breaking my face at lv27 and by the time I got to Mephisto at Penitent difficulty lv58 I had been a god since lv40 mowing down everything and surviving pretty well.
That said, I’m playing spiritborn, so obviously class balance matters. Spiritborn does start pretty weak and some anti-melee bosses really make it annoying to play, like Alia in the Undercity timed dungeon. I imagine ranged classes have a lot better time in many of these constantly dashing/teleporting/area denial bosses.
The season mechanic IS pretty terrible. Losing opals on a crash/disconnect is pretty terrible, and the rate of reputation gained is awful. I ran the whole campaign and am still not even rank 5 reputation, so not even half way.
The campaign story was an embarrassment. They might as well have made you play Nayrelle and choose a class to play her with, since she as usually took over the entire story and agency of the narrative.
Disagree strongly about Infernal Hordes, it’s one of their better features.
This xpac also did pretty nice improvement to Legions, dungeons, and other core map objectives.
Mob aggro range could stand to be reduced and they need to do away with the dismounting system when surrounded by mobs, because you simply don’t get to look at the map or spend points while constantly harrassed.
My only issue with the game is the constant nonstop bugs that plague the game. But the new reality is that blizzard will never be the same as it was since Activision ruined the company. Going from a company that cared about the quality of their games to a company thay only cares about lining their pockets. Besides, you don’t have a valid argument about the druid, considering they’ve always been the worst class in the game. And the only viable build they have is landslide. If you wanted companions, you should’ve played season 4.

I don’t like some of the changes. But overall, game feels good to me.
