I am unable to fix the Fenris errors after 3 seasons

I played since launch, bought a brand new computer in season 3 and continued to enjoy the game until VoH. Sadly since VoH I have progressively been getting more and more Fenris errors to the point now in season 9 that I cannot play more then 15 mins and on occasion maybe 45 mins before I crash out.
As a result I have completed just 1 Descending Nightmare Sigils out of 6 that I have started simply due to crashing.

If anyone knows a sure fix let me know, but as of now the game has been uninstalled. Really quite angry about this given I do not have these problems with other games and I actually enjoy D4, but not if I cannot play.

hi Ralph i ve got the same problem for several seasons and other games, if u use nvidia card, it could be a damaged nvidia file, you need to go to your devices in windows and deinstall your graphic card, then (very important) windows update to reinstall your graphic card, don´t use nvidia. After that your crahses should be gone
For me this worked

Thanks, I will try as I have uninstalled the game now as I cannot even complete a NMD or even a undercity tribute. I have pretty much wasted all my boss mats/maps and tributes now.
I might buy a new graphics card, but I will try your option first.

this confuses me because the windows updater doesn’t find the latest drivers. Did you just go on nvidia’s website and manually download them then install via the .exe and not install the app? or do you mean literally run d4 with the drivers windows finds which are technically out of date?

That fixed nothing sadly, I used a under city tribute and instantly fenris error’ed out.

also for the record this is my system

These are most of the type of fatal errors resulting in a fenris error crash to desktop:

[Crash] Thread ‘RenderJobWorker6’ handling fatal error
[Crash] UnhandledExceptionFilter
[Crash] Crashed thread: ‘RenderJobWorker6’ (0x1f34)

no idea what this means and cannot find anything on google.

no i only used windows update, it found the driver, but it took some time. But you need to deinstall the graphic card in your device manager first, otherwise it doesn´t work.

I tried your method and it didn’t work. here’s the catch though …

I fully disabled my RTX 4090 after dumping all of the Nvidia stuff and the game is now working off of my built in UHD graphics 770 on my Asrock Z690 Phanton Gaming 4/D5 mainboard … and yeah, I’m sitting here in shock atm because I’ve never been able to run the retail game since 12/26/24

Weird that its even running now … Now i need to figure out how to get it to run on my 4090 …
