We have Hardcore and Softcore as a choice when we play. Both has its own issues.
-Hardcore suffers from glitches, bugs and crashes and is not for everyone.
-Softcore there is no serious consequence at all for getting killed and that makes it kind of dull.
How about making some modification in Softcore where it gets a little more exciting to have a fear/concern before we blindly jump in the middle of a mob or in front of a boss and/or partying with stronger builds and jumping into a strong dungeon or pit and then keep on respawning without any concerns when we die?
We can think of many things but first comes to my mind is some sort of punishment, lets say for every 3 death you lose some serious masterwork progress or tempering progress or both.
This also helps with excessive carrying of lower level or power players by higher level or power players because they can still carry you but now they will also have to babysit you through the dungeon or pit or you will die. I know in the pit we lose Glyph points but I do not think this has been any discouraging.
We need something that will make players not wanna get killed too much and need them do something about it instead of putting their everything including bottom dollar into offense and power. We also don’t want it to be as harsh as hardcore, after all we would play hardcore if that is what we wanted. Overall I believe some more serious concerns for defense will improve the game play experience and make it more intense and exciting.
