Sitting at queue screen and my 3090 is drawing over 350W just sitting there. Nothing else of note is running. This draw is similar to when the game is running full tilt, and it seems a bit excessive for what is being rendered. What resources are being called on during a login/queue screen that would require this much power usage?
Not sure if helps but i tried restarting a few times to see if it would adjust this symptom… it seemed to lessen on the 4th/5th try and is now normal on the 5th/6th try
Had no issue last weekend, but also did not have latest nvidia D4 beta driver last weekend… hard to isolate cause!
75% GPU usage when in the login queue just to render a single spinning thing…
It looks like I have the same issue. I have a screenshot but no idea how to post pics on the Blizard forums.
Y’all underestimating dat high fidelity queue mechanics.
Once I got into the game, I lowered the FPS caps to 120 and 60, engaged DLSS and lowered the render scale from 150% to 100% and it seems to have brought it back to a manageable 150W draw.
