Huge difference between T2 and T3?

Anyone finding a crazy difference between t2 and t3? I can melt through them on t2 to the point where it’s boring. Trying to run t3 to get better gear but I can’t even last 2 minutes in a nightmare dungeon. Not getting any better drops on T2.

Yeah if you’re not playing Spiritborn the jump from one torment to the next is pretty palpable.

Unless its T3 to T4. Then it can be nearly impossible.

There is a big difference between t1 and t2 too. And I heard between 3 and 4.

You’ll be melting t1 for a while before you can comfortably do t2.

It’s kind of fine though. Gives you something to work towards

I think this is true for every Torment tier until you get to the point where it’s comfortable. It’s true even for SBs. It took me a while before I managed to make T2 easy, then T3, then T4.

Same with my Sorc.

not really, it was T3 to T4 for me.

I agree. It makes lower tier feel boring like old WT4, while higher is still out of reach. It’s doable, but you need to optimize. Took me a few days to finally reach T3 since I started trying.

As I wrote in my own thread before, I the game would become better if Torment levels were spaced closer to each other (now it’s 15 tiers), while early Normal - Penitent (now it’s 5 tiers) spaced more apart. The overall length of the difficulty ladder wouldn’t change, but rungs could be rearanged a bit.

If you managed to get a friend or somebody to help you get the proper gear/exp that should be able to help ya.

Do Helltides instead for a bit and open as many chests as possible.

This was my experience as well though I am rogue alt.

If you think that T2 to T3 transition is hard… wait until you see T3 to T4.

I guess it depends on build.
I was doing minion necro and hoped from T1-T2-T3 when I had armor/res overcapped already. T3-T4 took longest because I needed Grandpapa to cap my armor.

So A and higher builds should feel smooth.

Tiers have increased difficulty with hits to resistances and armor as well as enemy HP increases. There is no real guarantee t3 drops better gear. Drops aren’t any better in t4 either as they are just too rare and this needs addressed. You kinda have to masterwrok your sub par crappy gear some to survive until you find better gear. It’s just more tedious grind

To me it seemed similar in difference, except that I had less overhead for my character once I got to T4. I had to get more creative and really optimize, especially since I’m not using a meta build.

That’s how it is for me from t3 to t4. In t3 Im basically one shotting everything, and t4 its a struggle to survive.

Yup, each Torment tier is tougher than the other which is good. If they don’t differ all that much then it defeats the purpose of a challenge.

But yes, T3 and T4 is pretty tough if you’re not Spiritborn, I’m finally doing alright at T3 as a DoK Rogue but I’m guessing for classes like Druids/Barbs/Sorcs it’s a lot tougher.

you kind of have to re-gear for higher tiers. it’s a big hit to resists and armor as you go up

Not really but I play hardcore and take my time before entering each difficulty.

And the pit lets me know where I am and what I’m capable of which is super handy.

But if your brute forcing yourself into t3 I guess it would feel crazy different.

It’s definitley a good size jump but I don’t really have any problem surviving. I do have to be careful at times and it takes me longer to kill stuff but not to bad except for the helltide hellborne’s. I haven’t killed one yet before they disappear. I’m definitley not ready to try Varshan or any of the bosses yet though.

I don’t like this. It horribly splits the playerbase between levels unless they can find some way to normalize scaling so it doesn’t matter. We already have too many difficulties and it’s tough to find people especially on Hardcore.

D3 had like 20 difficulties and ALL of them were useless and trivial within a few days. No thanks.
