Hello there.
As per you know, D4 season 6 is going to end soon, so based on the info of the new season, theme, mechanics, classes…
How you think it will go? Will the game comeback to high charts of players, viewers, trending.
Or it will be failure since the theme is a copy from previous seasons and there is no content for lets say 2 weeks.
Also I havent seen many content creators covering the PTR.
In my opinion this season its gonna be a fail. Maybe playing it 2 days and then going to another game.

like all other seasons. The only thing that will keep me more than a week is the wardrobe, that i will be able to try another build for a second week and then move back to poe2.

S7 isnt offering anything new to people who remember S2. I give it a couple weeks for them and maybe a month or more for newer players. They defintely need to shake up the status quo a bit because more of the same isnt going to cut it for much longer.

It’s not going to pull a lot of players back in or draw new players. The biggest part they’ve put out so far is just QOL that was in their own game decades ago already and some reworks. Until there’s some true end game content, I don’t see D4 making any gains, rather they’ll just coast along. They’ll sell you more cosmetics though, that’s for sure.

Will be big for the first week or two as usual and then get lower and lower.

It actually ended 2 months ago for most people.

I cant say how it will perform, as players are all individuals. I will surely check it out, and am confident hordes of others will too, and hope theyve restored balance and hopefully make it more challenging or at least add some challenging content. Real question is how long they are retained.
The season mechanic is just a lame uninspired rehash, Im more interested in how they tackle the super OP SB and the rest of the classes. That will keep me returning, not the seasonal mechanic

S7 is DOA.
It’s a very skippable season for anyone just burned out of the game.

I think it will do well but it is also a dip in the pool and while it will have some S2 feels to it there will also be that question of whether people really enjoy mixing and matching things up. I think that will hold more attention than prior seasons because of the idea of mixing and matching powers and such.
I think people will enjoy it more than they realize.

It does not matter how it’ll perform if they don’t fix the balance. I won’t be playing.

THAT was Season 2, when the powers worked off of your build. That’s why so many were later made into items.
S7 has a ton of flat damage powers that don’t interact with your build. There are very few effects that actually interact with your build. This will make you stronger, yes, but it doesn’t make them more interesting.
I think everyone here needs to go back and really look at Season 2’s powers, because constantly saying S7 is just like S2 because they share a similar interface really creates a false impression. I don’t think S7’s mechanics will hold people’s attention for long at all. Everything is too passive, not only the powers but the activities. You complete most of them by accident.

Most of the powers interact with your build though. They really do trigger on damage dealt or such.
- Every 250 Resource spent, release an explosion dealing X Shadow damage. Each explosion triggered within 10 seconds of the last increases the size and damage by 130%. Stacking up to 3 times.
Stuff like is with Banished Lord’s Talisman would be sweet, no?
- Feed upon the life force of nearby enemies whenever you use a skill with a cooldown, increasing your primary stat by 3% per monster for X seconds.
And a necros literal soul harvest, no?
-
Your Witchcraft Effects deal X of the damage dealt over 5 seconds. The damage type is based on your class.
-
At Rank 10: When your damage-over-time effects exceed 85% of the target’s total Life, they immediately die.
And this is nice if you do DoT… right?
Maybe I am missing it but I think the interactivity is high here. There’s a lot you can think up.
S7 is S6 with witch powers and slightly improved drop rates. I’m bored already. I’ll skip this season.

Well what will you play instead? I am always open to suggestions.
Rod said the amount of content in the S7 store is going to be HUGH.
That’s where the real D4 content is.

I’m on Black Myth at the moment. I’m enjoying that. And I have a library full of games I’ve never played but I might do S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 next.
I heard a lot about Black Myth. Is it more actiony or more souls-like? I’m a little over the souls thing but also looking for something a little more action driven and punchy.
Wukong is just a monkey with a sword
It’s definitely a bit souls like. Not quite as difficult as Dark Souls but follows the formula. The boss designs are impressive, and there are tons of bosses
Well a staff, so a monkey with a stick.
