As the title says, I just saw a post in Santury discord where someone sold a Glove with Dex, Life, Core Skill, and 3 Greater Affixes — and it got bought for 15k runes. How are people even getting items like that? I’ve played every season and still don’t have more than 10 legendary runes of the same type!

I’ll tell you a little secret. There is a gold cap of 99 billion. I sold uniques and legendries with 1-2 affixes for 10-15 billion here and there. Once, you reach the gold cap, you can’t trade anymore. The solution? Buy the most popular rune at that moment, they stack, you can trade again because you have less money.
Eom is the most popular rune this season. 15k screams RMT though. I am barely at 500.
You can pay with ingame money and runes for 3ga items to brick them later during tempering

You don’t find 15k runes, someone duped all those runes. Then someone either RMTd or someone traded with RMTers. Most of the gold we trade for was duped. Inflation was so bad this season that literally every meta unique that was 4 GA or even a simple pair of core GA gloves hit was going for 99B this season then you added items like husks stacks at first them people moved on to runes. I made a thread about this bad inflation a few weeks ago. We’ve never seen inflation this bad this quick but blame blizzard they scared people with a “harder” season and made RMTers to wild and made inflation follow suit.
If you didn’t get required items early this season it meant it was basically impossible to trade for them now. I remember selling atspd/core gloves for gold cap + few items then seeing a similar pair go for gold cap + 5k runes few days ago lol. Got my 4GA 24.3 tals for cheap way early and now they are like 99b + 500 runes+. Also increasing the gold cap wouldn’t help anything lol but still worst inflation season I’ve seen and I’ve played since s0.

Just a tad beyond out of control. No mention of it. No attempts to do anything about it since trading was enabled. It just ensures most of anything good is out of reach for most players. It is the first step in the game becoming D4:I.
At this point they just need to get it over with and stop trying to make us think players wanted this.
15000 runes is definitely RMT’ing duped runes. This is what D4 leadership has allowed the game to become. It gets worse each season. What an absolute joke.

I don’t really trade so it has less impact on me or anyone else playing SSF.
But it is sad for those who do, that this is so unmonitored.
I do say when it comes to gold prices it does not matter as you can sell something to enter the market, in order to be able to afford those inflated prices.
But not sure how that translates when people are trading runes. At 15K it is very clearly duped.

The same goes for gold. Who thinks that someone trades prolifically enough with likewise gold rich people to obtain 50 billion two days into a season?

This is EXACTLY why they made loot so rare. You MUST RMT.
I got to level 245. There are a few builds I want to try but they all REQUIRE a shako. So what else can I do but grind points, create an alt, cash in the loot for the shard, delete the new charater.
This was not so bad until about the 14th character for the 7th Mythic. 4 Heir of Perditions, 1 2GA Tyreals, and 1 doombringer, and 1 Ring of the Starless Skies.
The 673 Boss runs, I did get one Ring of the Starless Skies.
But yes, 5 minutes on the internet with my credit card, easy pickings!!!

I just want to try a few of the Meta builds but just to get the required gear, I need to spend. So why bother buying required gear, in a game designed to find gear?

Yeah but they wont risk the RTM people leaving so they ignore all the cheating. Except if you use your gamer mouse and create a macro to not strain your fingers. That will get you banned. But trading 500 rare runes 3 days after season start seems very valid to them. If we get a leaderboard, it will be pretty pointless.

The unofficial leaderboard is full of people who RMT lol and most of them are always from Asia. Then we have streamers who might not RMT but get donated gear from RMTers aka Rob. I watched the dude get gifted a 2 GA sorc amulets, brick it then get gifted another immediately after. Even before when gold was rarer dude was getting gifted millions and billions lol. When streamers are being fueled by RMTers no bans will come in.
I can guarantee you that those 15000 Eom runes were found killing monsters in-game.

Oh they already know. That’s why (per Brent Gibson’s interview) they’re deleting millions of brain cells trying to come up with an acceptable “multi-tiered” leaderboard system - which won’t work I guess, unless the “top” tier requires that your game sessions be 100% live-streamed in order to qualify. That would go over great .

They made it D4:I without telling you it is D4:I. The first 5 or 6 seasons it wasn’t bad enough so they do what they always do.
