Do you right-click an NMD key in the “dungeon keys” bag, or do you need to move it to your equipment bag?
I ask, because I got one recently, went to the dungeon, stepped inside, right-clicked the key, & nothing happened. I was only level 30 at the time, but I’ve been told that doesn’t matter. MTIA.
You right-click it in the keys tab, and you then need to open the map and you’ll find the dungeon highlighted in the center. You can then click the (now flaming) dungeon entrance to immediately travel there. If you wait too long to open the map, the map won’t automatically center on the dungeon and you need to find it yourself.
Activating a sigil while inside the non-NM version of the same dungeon? No idea what happens then, never tried that, maybe you can still travel to the nightmare dungeon as explained above, maybe not.
If I remember, currently, you can’t activate a NMD while inside a dungeon, regardless if it’s NMD or normal. They are changing this in Season 9 though.
So step outside, or go to a town, activate the sigil and go into the dungeon. If you open up your map immediately after clicking the Sigil it’ll direct your camera to the dungeon itself on the map, then you click the dungeon to teleport directly into it.
Last time I tried using a different NM sigil while inside one I just finished to immediately go on another run, I was just kicked from the dungeon I was in, appearing at it’s entrance. That was a few seasons ago. No idea if they changed that or what they changed it to.
Escalating NMDs sound like a nice thing, seems to accomplish what I tried and failed to do earlier.
Is it really that hard for the key to just drop us right into the dungeon?
Maybe I’m whining about something dumb, but yesterday I was helping a friend level up through NMDs and honestly, I got sick of opening the map and looking for it.
After 8 seasons it seems it is.
If they do then the “you are making it too easy I want more challenging cheap delay tactics” crowd will come after you. All 3 of them not including the bots.
It is a great idea that should have been implemented from the beginning. Unfortunately, the marketing and sales teams that run D4 have a different view on what a great idea is.
