How do you activate the boss powers. I have a red one as a primary and three blue. However, I see people going into fights seemingly using thier laser all the time.
An I doing something wrong? Do you have to tie the power to a weapon or a skill?
Each boss power tells you how it gets activated. Just read the description.

Pick a power that works best with your build.
Iâm confused as well Wombat. Take the wandering death beam for example. It says âWhile channeling a skill, spawn a beamâ. How do I do that? I have 6 skills defined. I can hit anyone of them 6 skills, and no beam comes shooting out. I have that power in the top (main) slot on the boss power page. I ranked it to 13 so far. Still never get it to fire. Iâm using a Spiritborn character class. I can hit numbers 1-4 or left/right mouse buttons, and never get one of them boss powers to do what they say they will do. The Season 7 magic powers just happened, I didnât have to do anything special. These boss powers are not happening. I have been doing google and youtube searches. So far I have only come across videos of how âcoolâ the powers are, but never show you exactly how to activate and make it fire. Some people have a constant beam shooting out. Did they assign it to a keyboard letter and as long as they hold that letter, the beam kills everything in its path? Will someone be kind and explain what Wombat and myself, are overlooking or missing.
Based on that wording - you need to be using a Channeled skill.
The Spiritborn doesnât have any Channeled skills.
Pick another boss power.
(Channeled skills are where you hold the button down to fire it continuously, with no interruptions or re-casting, such as the Barbarianâs Whirlwind, or Incinerate for the Sorceress. If youâre not sure if a skill is Channeled or not, you can look at the tags associated with it (at the top of the skill description on the skill tree). You can also search in the skill tree for âchanneledâ and it will highlight any relevant skills.)

Thank you. That makes perfect sense now. I saw on one post about the tags in the skill tree saying channeled. I looked and looked and never seem to see the word channeled on anything in my skill tree. Since Spirit born doesnât have any channeled, there is my problem. I will pick another skill.

There are like several Channeling skills in the game:
Whirlwind, Incinerate, Decompose, Lightning storm, Stone Burst, Dance of Knives
And yes, I wasnât aware SB doesnât have a channeled skill (Druid has 2 b.t.w., but both on shorter duration/s)
The hole at the top is primary
The other 3 are secondary.
That is all you need to know.

@Irres I was JUST about to post this because I was starting to get SERIOUSLY pissed off at people that no one was answering the actual question with relevant information. I had to do my own research and finally found a guide on it, only to come back and see your comment that I skipped right over hahaha XD Thank you for giving the goods
