everytime i need to check all aspect in the codex just to find out if the aspect on the item is a non-codex aspect, so i can make a quick discission if i need to save it or just break it, while all my party members are waiting
All Codex Aspects will be lowest RNG value
So essentially any you find will likely will either be same or higher but never lower than Codex.
So don’t randomly destroy them
yeah, i know that, i mean some non-unique item has aspect, even with lowest value, is not in the codex, i want save those.

There is not way to see this AFAIK. I think it’s bad that there are Aspects that cannot be codexed. Like I’m okay with them existing, but they should be Green, since sets don’t exist anymore. Just so you can know at a glance… Hey – this can’t be codexed.
The other thing that should be clearly articulated, is which slots an aspect can be equipped on.
Some can go on weapons and armor and jewelry, some cannot be on jewelry some cannot be on weapons, some can only be on weapons.
There is currently no indicator outside of the occultist. You can put the aspect in first, and it will gray out any items that it cannot be used on.
This is not obvious, and it should say what slots they can be equipped to.

I do enjoy the Stormclaw aspect from the codex, because I never seem to get it on any legendary drops. It’s the one that gives Shred’s critical strikes bonus aoe lightning damage.
And, for the most part, I think I remember what’s in the codex, but the stuff is usually weaker than what you will find on legendaries that drop.
agreed, so sad to know this is not a feature in the game, i break so many item just to find out I need one of those to complete a build, which i cannot find it in the codex

I like the idea that if you rip a more powerful legendary aspect from a legendary that it would automatically update your codex with that level attribute. That would be cool!

For instance, there is one I like that gives a protection bubble when I attack an elite, with a cooldown for 30 seconds. The one on the codex is for about 900 dps maybe…but the ones I have dropping on legendaries are around 2400 dps, which for me right now is so nice.
Sets are coming, they just were not ready on launch day.
Hmm…they probably don’t upgrade the codex aspects because that would make them op for lower level alts, but a solution to that would be to just make the aspects in the codex have increasing attributes at higher level intervals. So, at leve 10 it would be 900 dps, 20 = 1200 dps, 30 = 1800 dps, 40 = 2400 dps, etc.
