I’m just looking to farm durian for the most part. Where can I find out how to farm durian?
Your best bet would be southeast Asia. Malaysia or Thailand for example.
He asked “how”, not “where”! My answer is hiring a farmer in Southeast Asia, Malaysia or Thailand for example, so you don’t get hands dirty.
He asked where he can find out. I guess SEA is the best spot since they have experience!
Why do you need to know about farming a fruit from a gaming forum.
They do grow pretty easily, but you’ll want to keep it away from open windows, downwind, on the other end of a large yard. Close to neighbors if you don’t like them. Check daily for pests and weeds, keep it blocked off from any pets that might go in the house. Dogs will rub up on fresh durian like roadkill and drag that in the house with them. Try not to touch it without gloves at very least, and a mask will help mitigate the worst of the smells. Good luck!
Just checked into see if this thread is going exactly the way I expected from the Post Title. It is. Good work guys.
After seeing all of the crying on this forum we all need a good laugh.
i dont thing Durian would be happy about this… but youtube would point ya to Durial a bit better
Does Durial eat Durian as part of his good eating habits?
Has anyone here actually tried durian and is it really as bad as people say? Maybe not the taste so much but the smell?
Neither the taste or smell are remotely pleasant unless it’s literally something you grew up eating and smelling as a child. It’s so far removed from the sort of palate a western diet would normally develop. They really do be built different out there.
It smells like an open sewer but the taste itself is fine. I just can’t stomach the smell
Yep SEA the best farm spot.
Of course Durian, King of Maggots would smell
People, people, this is an epic thread. Great responses all around.
But maybe we don’t give OP enough credit. OP is thinking far in advance stratgically. It must be the case that Duriel eats durian, that’s why D4 Duriel is poison based from the smell alone. If you cut off the source, then Duriel loses poison enchantment and is much easier to farm. We will all be thanking OP in a week.
Serious answer OP:
- Summon Varshon twice, get one egg each time, two eggs total.
- Then farm helltides for living steel. Need 10 total. (3 drop per chest, costing 300 cinders like a mystery chest, hidden off map)
- Then summon Grigore twice, each time drops 1 shard. You need 2 shards total.
- Then go to Duriel dungeon (hopefully not after he’s ate durian) and summon.
Recommend to do as group so for everyone’s farming you can summon 4x instead of 1x for better chances.
Good luck!
Arent Duriels super stinky or am i thinking of something else?
durian (small d) stink factor 10X more smelly than Duriel stink factor.
Unless Duriel just got back from durian lunch, in which case Duriel stink factor = multiplicative .3x bonus stink enchantment based on number of durians ate. Can stack infinitely.
You have to knock them out of the tree with your weapon. You’ll see them hanging up there in the Faron Grasslands.
