How things ended up with Barbs, and why

It feels like this :

-The intern that designed most of the barb was like :
‘‘look how powerful the barb will be with 100% uptime on his 3 shouts, so no need to actually work on anything else, barb will be OP on release, and all the old-school will be very pleased :D’’

Then the very first lvl 100 player, Rob comes in, and makes a mess of a video, proving how badass barb can be with optimal gear/paragon/aspects.

Result, barb nerf, and the rest of his skill tree / paragon board / and gear (uniques LOL) were left untouched.

As of today, and after 1.1.1 : barb is still in alpha state. Devs being overloaded with basic bugs and people screaming about just so many problems that wasn’t supposed to happen for a ‘‘supposedly’’ finished game on release.

Barbs are lying there with an unfinished design, from head to toe (from their skill tree to their paragon board, even up to their unique gear).

We complain, as we should. Afterall, a huge proportion of buyers players actually bought the game to play main barb off the start…

FAIL BLIZZARD, FAIL!!!

TAKE THAT FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IT TAKES TO HIRE THE DAMM PEOPLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. STOP BEING GREEEEEEEEEDY. You made a Freakin billion $ in gross sales. Just in plain clean profit that’s enough to hire programmers for the next 20 years worth of diablo content so STOP wasting time while the game is still ‘‘hot’’ because it’s getting cold faster than ever ATM…

I think it’s too late based upon observed activity (twitch/YouTube) and even this forum which can go for over an hour or longer without a new post or reply. Game is dead now. No patch will bring it back. Just needs to be buried.

Eeeh D3 was dead for a long time too. It needed an expansion and loot overhaul to come back from the grave.

Obviously hope they dont need those measures for barbs because I wont wait that long again

I hope not. If correct this is very sad for a game that just came out.

Patch is giving the game a bump as people log-in to see how the changes effected their character. Seasonal Barbs are probably happy with fixed Berserk Ripping combined with Barber doing mega-damage. I am tempted to actually try a seasonal Barb but the fact that Devs hate Barbs and will most likely nerf the interaction gives me pause. Not seeing a lot of positive feedback on the barb “buffs” beyond that. Guess I’ll keep monitoring the situation as I wait for BG3 to launch on PS5.

Rupture and berserk ripping are clearly bugged, but since every class can annihilate lilith in seconds youre going to have people say its fine.

Game is dead and time to move on. They aint going to fix anything for many seasons.
