Hi,
Just a quick question about the proccing effect of a lucky hit and how do they stack (or do not)
Let’s say I have on my gloves: +5% on lucky hit to restore 10% mana
I have on my off hand: +5% on lucky hit to restore 15% mana
Do they stack? or multiply? or are just separately calculated with different RNG dice rolls?
In case I land a lucky hit:
- do I have 5+5 = 10% chance to restore 10+15 = 25% of my total mana?
- or do I have 5% to restore 10%, then anothre RNG roll to check the other 5% chance to restore 15%?
Thanks
I use luck hit + critical strike chance in my sorcerer build along with Lightning Spear, Balls Lighting and Frost bolt as enchantment, all combined with the Aspect of Shared Misery to get everything in the screen stunned of frozen half of the time and a lot of fixed position balls lighting spawning everywhere melting the mobs.
My current luck hit is 70% and critical chance is 40% and it works like a charm.
I think what those lucky hit things are saying is on lucky hit you have a 5% chance of that thing happening. So if you have 50% lucky hit and the item says 5% on lucky hit it effectively means it’s going to happen 2.5% of the time.
Thanks for the link and your replies. I understand the math mechanics when it comes to one effect, or several different effects. I was just wondering about stacking 2 same effects on 2 items actually. And I can’t find a clear answer even in the Wowhead guide
