How Pyromancer Got Buff

So, the pyromancer actually did get buffed.

  • Hydra Enchantment Mana threshold reduced from 300 to 200

This means with [Enhanced Hydra]: While [Healthy], your casts of Hydra gain 1 additional head. you can get 2 4-headed hydras and pop a 3rd 5-headed hydra after only 200 mana is spent. that’s 13 heads and a buff to firebolt. so essentially the overall DPS instantly goes up on average for the most commonly used attack.

  • Fire Damage: Increased by ~25%.
  • Non-Physical Damage: Increased by ~25%.
  • Fire Damage Over Time: Increased by ~40%.
  • Conjuration Skill Damage: Increased by ~33%.
  • Pyromancy Skill Damage: Increased by ~25%.

add a little less cost of mana for fireball after burning with firebolt will raise DPS

  • Aspect of Efficiency Mana cost reduction increased from 10-20% to 15-25%, and now also affects Mastery Skills.
  • Fiery Surge Mana Regeneration increased from 10/20/30% to 15/30/45%.

But this gets balanced with a big across the game nerf to Crit damage and glyph bonuses

  • Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage reduced from 10/20/30% to 7/14/21%.
  • Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30%.

and a nerf to glyph bonus damage

  • Glyphs’ Bonus to Cold/Fire/Lightning/Non-Physical/Physical nodes reduced by ~62.5%.

So, you’ll see more overall DPS with a less powerful meteor/inferno ult blast as a pyromancer. The possibility for Fiery Surge + Endless Pyre + Summoned Hydra could actually work now too

  • [Summoned Hydra] also Burns enemies for an additional 12% of its Base damage dealt over 6 seconds.
  • [Fiery Surge] Killing a Burning enemy increases your Mana Regeneration by 10% [+] for 3 seconds.
  • [Soulfire] After standing still for 1.5 seconds, your Pyromancy Skills cost 5% less Mana.
  • [Endless Pyre] You deal increased Burning damage to enemies for each second they remain Burning, up to 5% [x] after 5 seconds.
  • Firebolt initial damage increased from 10% to 18%.
