Hey all. Started a new character about 5 or 6 hours ago. Was playing and game went down. How often does the game save? Sorry I am not a pro and old school Diablo player. Was having some fun but a bit worried I lost all my progress?
There aren’t any “saves”. It’s updated in real time. However, rollbacks do occur occasionally if they feel something needs to be done.
Ok cool. Hopefully got all my progress then. Was a bit nervous because my character wasn’t even on the screen, then it came back as a level 1, then I got booted out and unable to get back in. I see servers are down so hopefully no roll back.
If referring to main quest progress, it is stated on the left above the quest popup: “Quest Progress Saved”. This is important so you know when to quit and don’t have to repeat a large chunk of quest content again.
Hoping the same. When I saw that my level 19 barbarian was missing, then when she showed up she’d rolled back to 15 I decided to just log out for awhile and wait until the server issues clear up (for today).
Also, if there is a Legendary on the ground and the server dumps… there is a chance it might end up in your vault.
