Hi all. The beta for me was very nice, but, the price of the game personally is too high. If you could give a value to what you’ve seen so far, how much would you be willing to spend to buy it?
“IF” the game is as fun as im hoping id drop 60-70$ on it.
i understand games are getting more expensive because of inflation.
+
thats a fair price to pay for a full game considering how bad todays modern garbage cash grab predatory mobile games are…
totally up to blizzard at this point.
i was thinking about waiting to buy it till after i have watched some reviews from some youtubers that i trust in things D2 related.
but to answer your question again.
a reasonable 60-70$
if the game is worth my time.
+
maybe a cosmetic if the game has like super amazed me…
as a gesture of appreciation toward blizzard for not making a cash grab game…
who knows…
only time will tell
0$
60-70$
100$
??
wont know till the time comes i guess.
The game cost even at the highest edition is significantly less than what i would spend on 1 night out on the weekend. The best part is, I can keep having fun long after my purchase
I already paid 109.99 EUR (~ 120 $) for the Ultimate Edition which gives me the advantage of the 20 battlepass levels and play 4 days before the peasants that only bought the standard version. So i can outlevel everyone and can be the quickest, highest and best player of the universe. (only joking, i just wanted the full package, in fact i dont play in a hurry and enjoy all aspects of the game in sloth-mode).
I enjoyed 60+ hours of the beta and when the game is finally out i can play for month/years. If i would have gone out to party for a couple of hours i would have spent more money while having less fun. Me no party people anymorez.
I definitely buy more chest room (for my precious loot box not my hairy pectoralis muscles).
The most armor pieces and weapon models i have seen during the beta play so far did not meet my taste and i may cash out some money for nicer optics. And they will do. Because the ingameshop will be (hopefully) all about optics. I guess the coolest looking mounts will also only be available in the ingame store. But i will select my picks and not blindly buy everything so i wont ever win a mount show off battle.
I already spent $79.99, maybe later in the year if they drop some nice transmog sets I’ll buy those
145 CDN ( after tax ) so far for the best version on preorder. Then I imagine I’ll buy the Battle Pass for the first year at least , so I’m assuming around 50 or so for that. Then if they release some really awesome transmogs through the year I can see spending 60-100 on those.
So in the first year likely 250-300 CDN.
I have over 2000 hours on D3 , less than a dollar a day for D4 is pretty cheap entertainment.
Too much higher than $70 and I would’ve waited for release to decide.
$70 isn’t much more than standard, and Blizzard is definitely an above average developer, so it felt reasonable.
Already got the Ultimate Bling Bling Edition
I bought ultimate on Xbox as well as a pc copy so I can play on my steam deck. I’ll likely buy every battle pass along with my wife, and I’m not against buying some cosmetics from the shop if I like the way they look.
Gaming is my biggest hobby, I don’t really like watching tv or movies, and I get over stimulated in crowds so I don’t go out often with the wife either. We used to be big into MMOs, but we very much don’t like the zoom zoom speed run mentality that has taken over even in casual groups, so we’ve been playing a lot of d3 and farming sims. If I could have paid for seasons in Diablo 3 to help fund more impactful seasons I would have.
Already preordered and paid for the Diablo 4 Ultimate Edition on Xbox Series X.
I’m not sure I’ll buy anything beyond that.
After spending money on Marvel Avengers and the skins going free in a patch felt like a betrayal and Destiny 2 feeling like a mobile game, I’m just buying core experiences going forward.
Also, the faces in Diablo 4 are ugly, so I doubt I’ll invest a lot in a character that isn’t attractive.
$80 for 4 days early.
I will tell you this though, have a scroll in the console forums and read up on targetting abilities and such. If you care about that and/or PvP i would reconsider playing on console as they dont support keyboard and mouse and you wont be able to use a bunch of abilities as intended.
Blizz missed a prime opportunity for an April 1st joke…
Announce removal of M&K support on PC, controller only for all Diablo.
[sound of heads exploding everywhere]
I am planning to buy the game and the future expansion, but that is all for me. D2 was an amazing game, but D2LOD made it a legend. I expect something similar for D4 too. Financially I don’t know when they plan to release the first expansion. It would be cool to see it this Christmas, but I doubt they can be that greedy to ask fans to pay again within 6 months after the pricey base game. But Diablo : Immortal showed how material is the game industry so we will see what they plan to do. I can assume only that D4Expansion1 will come only in the second half of 2024.
Original price.
Not the new one…
Bought Ultimate, should have bought deluxe, because you can buy 10$ premium BP cosmetics in the season.
And I really don’t need the cosmetics or the other bonus, was only interested in prerelease, but just thought: “he’ll, why not, only 10$ more” when I bought it.
After this, not a single $ more before expansion. Not interested in cosmetics, not important, happy that d4 isn’t stupid p2w like immortal, where people literally spent 100000 $.
I’d pay 120 if it had kbm support
Money is no issue when it come to a diablo game for me. I’m a very wealthy man that wears speedos sipping scotch and smoking a cigar in my ice baths after hitting not 1 but 2 gold plated plates each side of my 45 pound custom gold plated bench press bar.
It sucks being as rich as me. Really rich. Rich.
Rich.
that last sentence might be the most d-u-m-b thing i’ve read here today lol…
My wallets ready to drop 3000+ so…
