How much new stuff do you think we’re getting for the base classes in the expansion?

I heard that each class might get one new skill, but I’m hoping for a set of new skills instead. Personally, I’d love to see a companion tree for the Rogue, similar to the Demon Hunter in Diablo 3.

Only one new skill would be pretty weak.

I think it will be at least 1 skill plus a new set of passives, but that some classes might get more skills and fewer passives. I also think they will all get multiple new paragons boards, glyphs, uniques, aspects, and hopefully some reworking of the existing glyphs and paragon boards.

I also think there will be new affixes, some new tempering manuals, and whatever seasonal powers will apply to both base game and xpac.

Probably 1 new active and 1 passive skill for each class, accompanied by a couple aspects and maybe a unique. Also, 1 additional paraboard for each class. But to gain access you have to follow Rod on Twitter and watch Wudijo clear the same dungeon for 12 hours.

Well… I think we’re getting more skill points.

We’re getting more paragon boards. So… some stuff.

Personally ZERO % interested in the new class so I’ll take what I can get.

Don’t know, but as long as Barbarians gets a 5th weapon slot, it’s all good with me.

I’m guessing a new skill with two upgrades and a small passive tree branch with maybe 3 nodes along one or two paragon boards. Not that any of it will matter as spiritborn will likely be op and 99% of people will be running that until it gets nerfed.

That new class makes all the other classes look like poopy, they better be dropping multiple new skills for each class.

Actually, if someone can compare the Spiritborn skill tree with the existing class skill trees, we should be able to estimate how many new skills the existing classes will receive.

Oh, I know. They’ve been putting minimum effort into this thing since before they even drafted the design doc.

Basic - 4
Core - 4 Skills 3 Passives
Focus - 4 skills 5 Passives
Defensive - 4 skills 8 Passives
Potency - 5 skills 7 Passives
Ultimate - 4 skills 6 Passives
Key Passive - 5 Key Passives

So comparable with current classes. Don’t get your hopes up for existing classes. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I have no idea why i so matter-of-fact assumed they were re-doing paragon to not be the current board system. It sucks so badly that i just … knew … that they would gut and redesign it.
Ill be devestasted if we are still using that miserable system in the expansion.

we know they are doing significant changes to the paragon system (maybe even a rework, but im not sure) and they can’t change that without also changing or reworking some stuff in the skill tree.
Having said that im expecting a bunch of new passives and at least one new skill per category per class (basic, core, etc). Some class mechanics also need some love, ultimates are hot garbage, some key passives are really bad. The recent barbarian nerfs made me realise, aside from if i agree with the nerfs to all key passives, that key passives in general are just damage and don’t provide anything meaningful beyond that, specially so for barbarians. So i expect reworks in that aspect of the game too, for all classes not just barbs.

Just enough to make sure the optimal number of people freak out over the deficiency. :joy:

We already received a video of this. It’s a whole new web like halfway down. Idk what they are going to call this section. We have Basic/Core/defensive/brawling/weapons master/and Ultimates. This is barbarian of course. So somewhere between defensive and Brawling was a new web.

No info on what the skills are yet
