How much longer?

How much longer until other classes are brought in line with rogue/sorc? The data is there, do some small buffs to… basically everything. Lightning orb sorc shouldn’t be 30 put levels above other classes. I don’t understand how we got a YouTube video of a priest playing D4 before the game was balanced. I’ll be posting in about a week for a reminder.

Thanks.

Well my guess would be next season where they nerf BL sorc. Not sure about rogue as its seems mostly to be a Butcher Glitch and not so much insane power. Maybe they leave barb alone but I doubt it.

Prepare for the simpletons to scream in outrage if they nerf anything that is currently trivializing all forms of content.

But they have to as else leaderboards are just a sad joke. Not that I care but I do expect lots of “adjustments”.

It sure sounds like it is rogue/sorc which should be brought in line, not the other way around.

(and as always, class balance is kinda irrelevant, it is build balance that should be brought in line)

No one gives a crap about leaderboards.

They are just used exactly why I warned they would be…as an excuse for people to whine.

Oh they definitely should. Just be prepared for the screams of derp rage when anyone who is flying through all forms of content right now gets their class or build toned down. Plenty needs brought up as well.

The button mash on warlock is real. Not sure If I can play a second button mash hero like sorc again!

I think there is. Not me, not you but they are out there…

Yeah. Easiest prediction ever.

If leaderboards exist, as least they should hide builds.

I’m happy for Barbs, they needed some love/an OP season. Rogue and Sorc damage is strangly OP..Blizz does this on purpose. just look at the patch notes, 1000000000 bug fixes, no real balance adjustments

No, they shouldn’t hid builds. If we have to have the stupid things at least make them useful to others. This isn’t some super secret strategy esport.

Looking at the lower end of the Rogues Leaderboard, yesterday, there were a bunch of Tower 120-ish runs in the top 900-1000 range. Remove the Rogue’s 150 runs based on a glitch which pretty much all use the exact same build and items, and I’m sure that the overall leaderboard is more in line with the other classes (except Sorcerer and Barbarian) and most builds.

Nerfing the whole class because of a glitch would be dumb.

Dev said awhile ago they will only fix game breaking bugs with skills, no more balancing till the next season. Cause people kept crying their build was getting ruined mid season.

Things should only be nerfed is it is gamebreaking, which it isn’t. As a matter of fact, fire/ice sorcs are doing 20-30 times less dmg then lightning, that’s the core problem. Classes shouldn’t have a build that is leaps ahead of other builds for the same class, or any class for that matter.

Speaking for every person who plays this game is wild. Don’t do that.

Why in the world would they do that? They never did in d3… not that it matter what happened in d3, but no one complained in d3 regarding builds being shown. It helps us see how unbalanced and under/overtumed different classes are.

Absolutely.

Which is why they should buff underperforming builds so people feel inclined to try things out. Why would anyone play any other build on spec instead of lightning orb?

I don’t understand why Blizzard doesn’t do small very small incremental buffs on a regular basis (a few points of percentage there every patch, depending on the skill). I’m pretty sure they have access to the metrics : They know which skill does what damage, they know which skill is used as a main damage source at what Pit tier and how much time it takes to clear a Pit level. They’re kind of focusing on bug fixes right now (and holy, there’s a lot of bugs), but I hope that they do plan on buffing skills/variants within a season, especially since it’s most probably easier now since there’s no longer 2-3 aspects and Uniques to balance per skill.

I would much prefer if most damaging skills and variants had a relatively closer ceiling and which build you use would come down to preference : not because skill A has 20x scaling compared to skill B.

Nothing’s stopping them from giving buffs to other builds and classes

I agree with you both. In past they have buffed some very underperforming builds early in the season. Be nice if they continued to do so.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond with an agreement! Kudos my boy.

No the problem is a lightning build doing 20-30 times more dmg than fire/ice. And yeah, that is quite gamebreaking.

Surely that is easy to see without leaderboards too.
Leaderboards mostly tend to skew the information about imbalances, and especially the player perception of it, not support it.

Nerf the glitch, not the class.
(what matters is build balance, not class balance)

Well, also nerf the class, since basically all builds in the game should be massively nerfed, but that is another topic tbh.

No, but it is what enables the whining.

If the information was accurate, that would be fine. But instead it just serves to misguide players.
