How many people just let the Butcher kill them?

It is such an unbelievable waste of time to kill this guy even the few times that I can while playing solo. I have taken to just sitting there, letting him kill me, then spawning and resuming the dungeon.

High tier NMD not worth the time to kill. Honestly. I just press forward and let him come with, kills me no biggie he goes away. Generally I only die in NMD due to mass Elite with crazy affixes and that’s it.

Sad thing is, this isn’t even a very high tier NMD. I just suck

honestly 100% regardless of the difficulty of the dungeon just bypass xD

I just skip cause I can’t be bothered or just die.

I just run away till he leaves. I killed 4 times in NMD’s and it takes too long. Had him appear in t49 dungeon couple of days ago, I played with him for awhile and then just ran away. It would have taken me at least 20 minutes to off him, not worth it, I wasn’t in any danger of dying from him, but the whole dungeon wouldn’t take any longer if as long.

In the NM t30’s though I went ahead and killed him, took about 5ish minutes. I did get a good dagger from him.

The butcher horse skin is worth the kill. My fav horse skin thus far

In higher tier NM dungeons, I usually dash dash and conceal to despawn him, or if I see him while concealed, I just run off and he despawns.

Speaking of the Butcher, I recently just got the Butcher’s Trophy Cleaver. Its was basically my friend that killed him, but I am still proud and happy to help during the fight. :star_struck:

They need to tune down that fortify man. I generally don’t have any problems against butcher with my current builds, but when I was pulv bear, it was annoying to kill butcher because when you are resource starved, he regens all his fortify and you literally don’t have enough burst damage to get through it timely to get to the real health bars.

I’m a sorcerer. My options are

  1. Find big pole to run circles around and use my 3 Evade charges
  2. Hope I meet him while I am in a party of 4 so I only have to say alive 1/4 of the time.

There was one time I fought butcher with my pulve bear and I refused to leave and it took me over 15 minutes to klil him alone.

It’s a weird situation, he can’t kill me and I can’t kill him. Is that right? That’s not tuned well.

Took me a while to get comfortable killing him on my bone spear necro. He started to appear for me about every 10 NM dungeons and it’s not like necros have a lot of mobility to begin with, so gradually I just got better and better at killing him.

A few deaths later I got his pattern down pretty well, could anticipate the stuns and the grabs, my damage also got a lot better so I could actually kill him without taking 10 minutes just to get past his stupid shield.

I agree though most of the time he isn’t worth the effort, but my options of escape are limited and I hate having to run back from the very beginning of a dungeon.

Not even worth the effort. Just run away until he despawns. It’s just another facet in the gem of broken mechanics and issues in D4.

He’s free loot and blows up the same as any other trash mob. Your build is probably garbage.

I’ve yet to die to him once and honestly it doesn’t take me long to kill him. And I’m on an eternal WW barb which is like the most underpowered crap.

Yes, armor skin for horse from butcher + horse from Lilith + demons head hanging on the horse’s back side, best combination for me for a horse!

I prefer to have my ATC horn on my horse. Just what it stands for lol.

Would be ok for it taking a long time, if there would be rewards. But if you got already the cosmetics, there really isn’t much incentive to kill him. It’s just too boring due the fortify / barrier / whatever thing he constantly gets. And as some others said, it takes longer than the whole other dungeon with some builds.
