Grow a fine beard like Gilgamesh, some tattoos, renamed himself “Tyrone”, whiling living as a mortal over the years? Like Lorath, he spends his days hunting and drinking before getting a visit from the adventurer. Heaven is even worse than Hell or the Sanctuary at this point?

Cuz in vids on yt, from diablo, the ones that compiles everything that was happening from the beginning of diablo world, from blizzard, it’s only said that Tyrael is somewhere else as he left horadrims to check something.
As far as we know, he is not dead. Just left before the events of Diablo 4. No one is sure as to where though. Or why he left in the first place. Did he know what was coming? Did he feel Mephistos presence somehow? Who knows. I do hope he will be in DLC though.
The last I know of him is when he returned to the Heavens to take seat as Wisdom, instead of his old position as Justice, but now in mortal form.
50 years have passed since then, and (as far as I know), nothing has been made known about him after that happened - including being alive or not, and what he’s been doing during this time.
I don’t have definitive proof as D4 has not mentioned Tyreal, but the speculation is that in one of the early videos where Lorath is talking to the tombstone in the cemetery, it was Tyreal’s grave.
