I quit at the start of last season/expansion because:
-Progression felt super slow and grindy compared to previous seasons. Seasons 4 and 5 were peak to me.
-constant crashing
-class balance (quadrillions damage hits even after the stat squish - they werent that high before the stat squish ha)
-Broken seasonal and expansion mechanics.
Has any of this been remedied? Just looking for input. I was so against most the changes and the state of the game that I’m very hesitant to install again, unless they have made some strides in the right direction.
Play it and find out?

S6 was slower, S7 is faster, but has a much slower seasonal mechanic grind. Also SB is no longer broken, it’s Druids turn now.

I’m actually enjoying D4 - Season 7 so far. It’s good! Give it a try and play the way you like. As for progressing in the game, I don’t get the rush to level super fast, but to each their own. I prefer to explore and enjoy the game overall and so far this new season is off to a good start.
Either way, everyone has their own opinions - so the best way to know about the new season is to actually play it and try it yourself. - Cheers! - JJ -

You can grind 10k rot per hour or more. You can max out the entire seasonal mechanic in 2-3 hours.

i enjoyed the dimwits and retard gameplay, furthermore the overall cartoonish arts as described by Raxx is more appealing than PoE2.

I’m asking here to get a lot of opinions in one spot. And with how much i hated the previous season - I refuse to be apart of the player count. So won’t install again unless they’ve fixed most my issues.
Ive watched some videos, most have been negative. So i figured I’d see how the forums were feeling about it as well.

which is very sad if u ask me, at least a week or 2 of content would be nice, me personally i would like stuff to do for 1-3 months but seems everyone wants everything in a few hours nowadays, oh well
Just pointless grinding is not good content. They need a proper endgame.

20hrs in and I hate it. You keep reading about lack of endgame, etc but in my opinion this game needs no endgame as long as the base game is designed to “artificially” waste player time as opposed to keep them engaged.
Up until now, it was just grinding… but with the arrival of the VoH more timewaste is included.
I know, nobody is forcing me to do the seasonal quest-line but it is the new content so I started doing it and it is programmed to waste your time.
- do the silent roothold, ok it only appears on the map if I drop back to pentinent, wtf?
- rain of loot… keep wasting time by going back to town for salvage. ok, can leave on the ground but I am levelling and there is this little voice in my head that don’t, you may run out of basic mats like last season (iron chunks, forgotten souls, etc)
- see Gelena at the whispers, watch the ritual, load screen
- talk to Gelena outside of the ritual load screen
- do the blistering roothold, load screen, rain of gear, salvage runs, more load screens
- talk to Gelena, observe the ritual, load screen
- walk the pentagram to initiate ritual
and it just goes on and on… I am at the point where I skip every NPC interaction as I am fed up with this design. I thought I catch upon the VoH quests, same thing, cutscenes, load screens, etc just too much. Tenets of Akarat? Now, there is a wee puzzle to solve before you can unlock. 98% are still easy but again, waste of time, it is chore.

More or less talking about the heads and altars.
Well the game was going great until the loot complainers had everything cut down even tho they wont even be in the game long enough to even care cause there all go back to poe 2. So i can see its gone back to not being able to play other classes again. Some of us are dedicated to Diablo 4 and the way i was leveling and items i thought for sure i be able to finally play other classes and builds but once again probably not cause i got to grind for items to hopefully now get lucky for the item i need.

You can collect all secret witch powers pretty quickly as well.
1 billion revenue blockbuster AAA game can’t hire better story writer for their ongoing game content but recycle something like minor event of red cloaked horror and glorified it a bit to last the whole season.
I haven’t been able to find any of those secret witch powers yet been doing NM dungeon just advanced to torment 4 so hoping that helps.
The thing I dislike the most is Lair Bosses rune drop rate change.
The legendary rune drop rate is like mythic drop rate now.
I’d say to not get your hopes up, if you want something you can dive into for a few days it’s not to bad but then it’s over that quick
