So far I’ve done about 10 Duriel runs solo. According to this forum I’m wasting materials and should always run Duriel in a group for 4x the loot. I have a few questions about that?
Is it 4x the chances for Ubers? I.e. if someone else in the group summons can anyone in the group get an Uber?
After the group takes down Duriel what happens next? Everyone leave dungeon and then does everyone has to “reset dungeons” or just the party leader?
How am I likely to get scammed by doing Duriel in a group?

Not sure, but according to the majority of the forums posters they are dupers and cheaters and should be banned

I don’t group but from my understanding
Everyone can get an Uber
Everyone has to click reset
You can get “scammed” by getting someone in the group who logs out when it comes to their turn to pay.

That’s pretty much it. And it’s more efficient because you don’t have to pay the material cost when others use their materials. So, 4 people each farm up materials for one run, and now you get 4x the cost.
The scamming is more along the lines, as you said, so that they’ll get a free run, and never complete their part of the run. It’s not like you lost your materials though. Rather, it’s more akin to you carrying other people while running Duriel. Not fair, but not the end of the world.
The cheaters/dupers though have ruined the competitive aspect of this. You see people talking about having run Duriel hundreds, if not thousands of times. Like, I’ve played this season a lot, and more than is healthy. I have near perfect gear in almost every slot by now, excluding a shako (as I haven’t found one). And I don’t believe I got anywhere close to 100 runs of Duriel. (I don’t trade, and mostly play solo.)
Now, it’s not that big of a deal in that there aren’t leaderboards this season, but next season, there will be. I agree with the people who state that every person should contribute their own mats for a run, and just give 4x the loot. And get rid of the ability to trade summoning mats.

I’ve always soloed mine. The only way I would run group is with people I’ve played in the past.

You can always insist others summon first or anytime you add a new party member they summon first, once you “trust” your group. Just don’t be a tool and skip out on your turn if you do that. Most people are good about it.
Short answer, everyone gets drops and a chance at an uber in a group but each person (hopefully) provides materials. Thus, 4 times as many attempts.
In theory the chance would remain the same on each pull. 2% or whatever it is… I believe you have a ~7.76% chance to get at least one uber from four pulls with those odds. Assuming it’s sufficiently random and isn’t adjusted/manipulated over time in some obscure way.
As for the process. Generally the way it worked in a group for me is via a rotation. The group enters, person A summons, the group smashes the definitely not uber boss, everyone exits, reset, the group returns, person B summons, rinse/repeat until it rolls around to person A again. On and on it goes until it’s decided to cease bullying the definitely not an uber boss.
I suppose you could pass mats to the same person since someone thought they shouldn’t be account bound. That would be… not so bright. You could also have person A spend all their mats before moving to person B. That wouldn’t win any nobel prizes either. Although, it’s best to find people you know won’t skip out after getting their freebies.
I did read a very “interesting” post on these forums few weeks back - comparing Duriel to chopping firewood for the winter…
Get 4 players together and chop 4 TIMES the firewood in the same time… What this FLAWED logic is based on… Is that 4 times the firewood does not equal to everone taking 4 times the amount back home… Every woodcutter knows he is only getting his share back… But in D4 … You get 4 TIMES the amount of “wood” back. Basically chop 1 tree and get 4 trees worth of winter firewood.
And we wonder why this EARTH of ours is going down the drain in 2023? Stupid D4 players go very far to explain it.

Guys do i need to have Lilith Killed so i can receive Uber Uniques from Duriel ? because i have been in few rotas, everyone basically get ubers, only me not, its very strange …like we are 4 , we make 3 rotas, all other 3 guys get 3-4 ubers each of them, i dont get a single one, how is this possible i dont understand…
I have not killed Uber Lilith and I have 4 Uber Uniques. I’ve had none duplicated.

okay thanks man, appreciate
I got 3 uber uniques my first day in 5 pulls. Luckily it was the ones i needed. Because i have not seen another in 300+ pulls.
And those other guys in the group were lucky. I have heard from friends groups that did 100 pulls and not a single person got 1.
No its the same drop chance the benefit is a time to reward ratio… say it takes you an hour to farm up mats for 1 duriel. You then go and do 1 duriel an hour.
Say 4 people farm up 4 sets of mats you then go and do 4 duriels in that same hour. Thats why its more efficient.
Yes and its the same chance for you to get loot solo as in a group (unless blue confirms there is more chance in a group like in D3 - so far they havent).
Party leader, you then get a vote to reset dungeon everyone agrees to.
They will make you drop your mats then leave group. Effectively you lose out on the 3 extra runs for your one set of mats. If you were going to do it solo anyway you lose nothing but if you were expect 4 runs for your mats, you lose the extra 3. People leech.
I suspect people have been duping mats, I had someone offer free duriel runs they did about ~20. The game is not that bad if you dont have to farm up mats for duriel… its that hour of grind combined with a near 0% drop that led me to quitting the game.
Yes there is people who want to link they mats to them group and then they just remove you , i posted a lot messages in game to aware other ppl

You take turns opening portal to duriel. Nobody would do this if you couldn’t get a uber unique. It’s as simple as that.

Rotas (Rotation) increase your loot and chance for ubers by 300%
This is because you are doing 4 runs in a group instead of 1 run solo.
Use the trade channel or discord sanctuary group to set up duriel runs. Its very easy. The format as leader is LF3M Duriel Boss #x Rotas and your handle and then u get fren requests. # is number of rotas. When each player joins have them link mats. Any player that cant link is likely a scammer.
Once group is full leader gives party rota order. This order is when you will be using your mats. Ensure all players are in room before summoning. Map can bug and show person there but they are not.
Leader resets dungeon and says when to sell.
Most groups sell every 4 runs. Be nice and congrats ppl on ubers. Most will give free runs if they uber but its not required.
Some heroes give u getter odds at different ubers as some dont qualify for stabbie stab spear staff as example.
As leader count off each run so ppl know their turn. On the first run u say 1.1 in chat. On 2nd run 1.2 and so on until end run on 5x rota would be 5.4 or some ppl use FINAL.
Most ubers you get are when 2 uniques drop. So you get excited when that happens.

I run pugs sometimes. Its all in the order of things. Last one I ran the guy didnt summon. We kicked him got someone else and continued.
Everyone links mats prior to starting. Its honestly rare or at least it has been for me.

Every one can get an Uber.
Party Leader resets.
Scamming is when someone leaves before their turn to pay. So don’t get into a group that does not make everyone summon once and in order. If they say you summon 4 first, just leave.
That said, there are not as many scammers as people think. I get into random groups all the time, I have the mindset I will not lose more than 1 set of materials to any scammers, and if I do I don’t care, I was running it anyway.
In trade chat or party chat people usually link their materials showing they have them once in the group.
I have never had a group with a scammer.
